Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 6 Review: The Treasure Hunt Begins!

Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 6 Review: New place, new characters and a walk to the past, the new episode is filled with amazing plot points, which has developed the series immensely.

Dr Stone Season 3 Overview

Dr Stone (ドクターストーン) is an animation series based on the manga of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. After a blinding green light strikes the Earth and petrifies mankind around the world—turning every single human into stone, humanity goes back in time. Years of civilisation have disappeared, and the only hope to rebuild it is in the hands of a brilliant scientist, Senku.

From studios of TMS Entertainment, the show is produced by TOHO Animation, Shueisha and 8PAN. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes.

The episode picks up from where the previous one ended, and the Kingdom of Science is in full force to discover the secrets of the petrification of humankind. Moreover, it features some extremely important information about the island that answers a lot of questions about the villagers. Besides the intricate plot, it consisted of a lot of fun moments that made the episode more enjoyable.

The most intriguing aspect of the series is that it continuously tries to rethink the world that already exists. It is quite similar to what is already present in real-time, with some major changes that completely advance our perspectives. The parallels made between the real world and the fictional world are done incredibly well, which forces the viewers to think beyond the realm of the show. Some major instances naturally create an introspective outlook of the world and beyond.

God is replaced with science, and everyone in the village worships it. The only difference is that they have solid proof that it exists, and ‘miracles’ have perfectly sound reasoning. There is no refutation or difference in the belief system. Science equally benefits everyone and has the exact same laws. No division exists within the population, only exceptions which are equally more interesting. Additionally, scriptures and tales are present in the form of important scientific experiments to help mankind.

With every passing episode, the story only gets more intriguing, especially because it contains extensive details about every moment in the episode. Like always, a thorough explanation of each and every intricate process is given abundantly. It makes sure to leave behind no major loopholes, which can lead to the plot’s reduction of top-tier quality.

More than anything, this episode is more plot focused, and it has considerably made a lot of developments. It is increasingly becoming complex and requires a lot of attention to understand every plot point. The animation of the series remains top-notch. The careful detailing and the elaborate design make it a better viewing experience for the viewers. Furthermore, the screen stills add extra flare to the plot and make it an exciting visual experience.
