Dr Stone Season 3 Episode 16 Review: In Dr Stone New World Episode 16 titled “National Battle” the Kingdom of Science faces the Petrification Kingdom once and for all. However, they face a lot of unexpected problems that cause disruptions in their plans. The episode premiered on November 2, 2023.

Dr Stone: New World (ドクターストーン) is an animation series based on the manga of the same name written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by the South Korean artist Boichi. Dr Stone: New World Part 2 will cover the “New World” arc from the manga series. The story continues to follow Senku, who manages to create the Nitric acid again with the help of platinum which will be used to free the world from the stone age.

From studios of TMS Entertainment, the show is produced by TOHO Animation, Shueisha and 8PAN. Each episode has a runtime of 20-25 minutes. The opening theme is Haruka (遥か) performed by Ryujin Kiyoshi while the ending theme is Suki ni Shinayo (好きにしなよ) performed by Anly for Dr Stone New World Cour 2.

Dr Stone New World Part 2 Episode 5 is a classic example of how rewarding technology can be, it can also become the downfall when it falls into the wrong hands. And that is exactly what happens in the new episode where Senku’s plans come crumbling down due to one miscalculation which he overlooked.

The episode manages to maintain the similar intrigue and suspense since the first season. Although the plan was set up and everyone predicted that it would go through the same way it always does, an unforeseen twist leaves everyone surprised. The creators have kept the plot fresh instead of following a formulaic story and succumbing to the easy way out.

Moreover, the characters are becoming more interesting as time goes by. There is development in various characters constantly which often takes everyone by surprise. Each of them has different ambitions and they act upon it depending on how it will help their cause. Either way, their individual skills and techniques come together to solve any problems thrown at them.

There is an abundance of comedic scenes in the new episode. The story tends to take an unexpected turn which leads to many funny moments which keep the plot light. Additionally, the animation plays a key role in providing an immersive experience to the audience, showcasing the integral sequences that affect the story tremendously.

From beginning to end, the entire episode is gripping. Not just scientific buffs but also non-science buffs with a passing interest in inventions will find it fascinating. It’s amazing to watch the team innovate and to have the chance to discover how these innovations impact our everyday lives. The episode, despite being one of the lighter ones, is packed with meaning and is essential to the plot’s advancement.
