Doctor Cha Episode 10 Recap
In this episode, we see the main protagonist completely freeze as her husband reveals the fact that they’re married. Jeong-suk has been carefully crafting the narrative at work, and this man eviscerated all of those efforts in a drunken instant. This time, we see that the family is truly reeling from a loss that cannot be imagined. The loss of anonymity and secrecy. Meanwhile, Doctor Jeon is also feeling the same way. Her boyfriend didn’t deem it important to tell her who his mother was. Now, all she wants is to be left alone.
Cutting back to the Hellfest that is the Karaoke stand, Roy Kim and Jeong-suk are looking incredulously at In-ho. He is concerned that the husband would let go of secrets so quickly after getting drunk. That same night, everyone keeps asking the couple whether they’re actually married and that Jeong-suk should perform a duet with In-ho (although this was mostly the husband). Relenting to this demand, she picks a song that destroys the way husbands treat their wives and the way men ruin lives.
That same night, all the drunk doctors are moved to the quarters and the clean-up is steadily progressing. A truck rushes in with a heavily pregnant woman in labour. All the doctors are asleep and don’t even have an obstetrician at this camp. Eventually, Jeong-suk steps out of this trance and calls for all the non-drunk doctors to do specific jobs. In-ho had delivered a baby a long time ago and has some idea of how to do this. Seeing his pallor and state, Jeong-suk immediately takes over.

She is able to deliver the baby successfully and gain the respect of everyone in the village. Back home, Seung-hi is back home with her daughter after a visit to the hospital, and we see Eun-seo talking about how she doesn’t need a father because her mother was enough, but maybe Seung-hi does need a partner, and that is why she is feeling so stressed, causing her to fall sick. Seung-hi decides to sell all her properties and move to the States in order to build a new life. Now, all she needs is some reassurance from In-ho.
Once all the doctors come back from the medical camp, they go out for dinner and drinks. In-ho once again explains his relationship with Jeong-suk, makes everything clear and explains that he is in a loving relationship. Jeong-sul also apologises and addresses the doctors. However, she starts feeling suffocated by that group and steps outside with Roy Kim. The two of them are having a casual conversation, and she explains that she is only staying together with In-ho now for the kids’ benefit.
In-ho doesn’t see Jeong-suk inside the restaurant, so he drinks himself to oblivion. So much so that Jung-min and Jeong-suk have to put him in a cab. Doctor Jeon is still not speaking to Jung-min, and the two of them have a big argument about Jeong-suk and her place in their relationship. Eventually, it ends with him saying that she could do with treating people with kindness and compassion, especially those who are less competent than her.

Eventually, we see Jeong-suk deal with everyone, even her husband. She drops him to his house and makes her way to her mother’s place. As a way of getting comfort, her mother’s house is the pinnacle of love and affection. But she doesn’t seem to get it from her mother. Her mother, ever the traditional woman explains how in her generation, women didn’t have a choice in whom they married. All they knew was that this person was their children’s father, which should be enough. Jeong-suk isn’t satisfied with this answer. The one person she expected understanding from was giving her such solemn advice.
Seung-hi finally confronts In-ho and tells him to divorce his wife. He is extremely surprised by this development because he wasn’t expecting it. She returns the bracelet and walks away from them. At the academy, I-rang and Eun-seo cross paths with each other. Their long-standing feud ends with Eun-seo injuring her wrist and I-rang losing her mental sanity. Seung-hi immediately makes her way to the hospital her daughter was admitted and takes In-ho with her. Jeong-suk saw all of this and got annoyed. She follows and discovers the truth, making her feel more miserable than ever.
She gets back to the dorms, and Doctor Jeon sees her from her convertible. She gets out and asks the doctor to go inside, but Jeong-suk says she wouldn’t be able to breathe if she went inside. After seeing this for some time, Doctor Jeon opens her car to Jeong-suk, and they go for a long drive. The senior resident opens up her roof, and the two of them feel the wind hitting them, but then it immediately starts raining, and the resident is unable to close the roof. The episode ends with this beautiful moment in female friendship.

Doctor Cha Episode 10 Review
This episode was incredibly funny and heartwarming, a full package deal for what we want from an hour-long episode. It does get sad in the middle, but it is understandable, considering Jeong-suk is going through a pretty difficult time. Moreover, we see the characters interact completely differently once the truth comes out. As the secrets start unveiling, we start to get a newer understanding of what these dynamics would be like and who the real supporters are.
Mostly, this writer is happy to see the episodes progress well enough, keep audiences engaged and also be such a comfort show. The humour is immaculate, the characters are brilliant, and most of all, the subliminal message is positive. There are many ways the episodes could be detailed, but this is by far done best.
