Do Gubbare Episode 6 Review: Heartfelt Sharing Gets Rohit a New Home

Do Gubbare Episode 6 Review: I’m sad that this show has reached its end. I feel like such shows should never end. And yet I can understand that this is my emotional reaction to the show that is so organic and wholesome that I can go on watching it again and again. There are no negative feelings involved that often serve to establish a strong catharsis. However, this show pulls off a catharsis in a very unusual manner. And I cannot thank director/screenplay writer Varun Narvekar and screenplay writer Kalyani Pandit enough for it.

Do Gubbare features Mohan Agashe, Siddharth Shaw, Malhaar Rathod, Hemangi Kavi and Manasi Parekh. The 6-episode miniseries has been produced by Jyoti Deshpande and Ranjit Gugle.

Do Gubbare Episode 6 Review

Despite being the season finale, Episode 6 doesn’t have much to show. The ending of Episode 5 showed Manu receiving her heart donor’s file. And it is Shravan, Aajoba’s younger son. Meanwhile, Rohit is worried about his place in Aajoba’s house since Ashwini and Sara will be moving in. This episode brings Manu face-to-face with Aajoba before she can meet Ashwini.

We may not understand what Aajoba might be feeling when he breaks down in front of Manu, but we can only imagine. To speak to the person who has his son’s heart beating inside her is perhaps one of the most overwhelming feelings. Rohit and Ashwini, too, get to know about it, and the episode ends with everyone accepting the truth, and from the looks of it, Ashwini and Sara will be moving to a new house. Rohit doesn’t have to shift anywhere else and shall be staying with Aajoba.

One might expect that Aajoba or even Ashwini might have been against letting Rohit stay as it would lead to Manu coming over, which would, in turn, remind them of Shravan and add to the pain of his absence, something that they have been trying to get over for a long time. But the show sends a very clear message that in such cases, the only way to deal with the pain is to accept it with open arms, not deny it or push it away.

Death is beyond us, but how we treat it is upto us. It is very tough to get over those who have left us early, and the pain of their absence can never be overcome by not speaking about it but by celebrating the life of the person even more and reminiscing the time we spent with that person. Kudos to Varun Narvekar and Kalyani Pandit for hitting the right spot here and not overdoing stuff.

Do Gubbare Episode 6 Review: Final Thoughts

The dialogues are apt as they do not explain things, as that’s not how we talk. We just share how we feel, and the rest just follows. Do Gubbare does just that, and therein lies its effectiveness. Using only 5 characters, the makers were able to create magic that is life and remind us of how sweet it can be and how it’s upto us to make it so.
