Disney’s Filthy Rich Episode 5 Review: Things are Getting Messy and Out Of Hand!

[Filthy Rich Episode 5 Minor Spoilers Ahead]

Filthy Rich premiered on 22nd September 2020 on Disney+ Hotstar. The series is created by Tate Taylor for the Fox Broadcasting Company with a new episode scheduled to release every week. The series seeks inspiration from a New Zealand series of the same name, starring Kim Cattrall, Gerald McRaney, Melia Kreiling, Aubrey Dollar, Corey Cott, Steve Harris, and Aaron Lazar.

Everything is Falling Apart At the Sunshine Network

Filthy Rich Episode 5 is one of the strongest episodes of this season! While others were usually cat and mouse games with planning and mind games, this episode is where things start getting real and gaining pace. It no longer feels like people silently wishing for things to go well. They’re all ready to rebel and fight.

The previous episode that ended with Eugene being seen by Tina causes her to check into rehab for possible hallucinations and excessive drinking. We know Eugene is alive but the episode has left a lot of fans wondering whether he is alive or whether there’s something more angelic going on. Well, maybe he is scared that it’s too late to come back as everyone now knows the truth about him, or is it something more sinister?

My theory is that the scenario in which Eugene died and whatever that happened after has led him to catharsis, something surreal where he is no longer longing for the earthly things. While the whole theory of him being an angel is absurd, one thing is for sure -something has changed within him.

This episode continues the saga of the Ladies Table’s attempt to unmask these filthy men who pose themselves as holier than thou but it seems to be going downhill. On the other hand, Eric is worried that SinWagon (now SaintWagon) has recorded all their customer’s footage and his image might be in deep danger.

All the while we wished for Ginger and Margaret to work together and solve their problems, but it feels like it was a bad idea. Because you see, even when these two powerful ladies are in unison, it’s failing. They both are seeking to sort out the same problem but they have a lot at stake, most importantly their loved ones and their respective businesses – SaintWagon and Sunshine Network!

Summing up, Filthy Rich Episode 5 takes the series a notch up, and surely things are going to take a turn but whether that’ll be ugly or smooth only time will tell! A few questions that this episode left me with was, will Eric get caught while he is committing adultery? Will Eugene ever come back? Will Ginger and Margaret be able to get these filthy men to pay? Will Mark get exposed? A lot is to happen!
