Deep Water Trailer: Ana de Armas-Ben Affleck’s Psychosexual Thriller Is Filled With Darkness

Ana de Armas and Ben Affleck’s Deep Water trailer is out now and, it looks as engrossing as ever. The psychological thriller is directed by Adrian Lyne with a screenplay from Euphoria’s Sam Levinson and Mr. Magorium’s Wonder Emporium’s Zach Helm that is based on the 1957 Patricia Highsmith’s novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith. This film also marks the return of filmmaker Lyne, who had been hiatus for the past 20 years since the release of Unfaithful in 2002.

The film is headlined by Ben Affleck, who plays Vic Van Allen and, Ana de Armas in the role of Melinda Van Allen, where the duo paints the picture of a married couple. The supporting cast includes Tracy Letts, Rachel Blanchard, Lil Rel Howery, Finn Wittrock, Jacob Elordi, Dash Mihok, Kristen Connolly, Jade Fernandez, Michael Braun and Michael Scialabba. Produced by 20th Century Studios, Regency Enterprises, New Regency, Entertainment 360, Film Rites and Entertainment One, the film is being distributed worldwide by Amazon Prime Video and Hulu.

The Deep Water trailer starts where the teaser for the film left us, with Affleck and de Armas talking about their unconventional love story. The trailer further leads us through snippets of the film briefing us about the couple’s marriage being based on known infidelity and, a murder that shakes everyone up.
