Criminal Justice Season 3 Ending Explained

The seventh episode of Criminal Justice Season 3 brought in a new suspect in the case of Zara Ahuja’s murder- Mahendra Awasthi. This person is the one who is the property owner of the place Zara was supposed to shoot at the very beginning of the season. Although Lekha tries her best to sidetrack Madhav Mishra and win the case. Mishra ji brings in Awasthi and his wife to the witness stand one by one, and soon enough, it is revealed in the heat of the moment by Mahendra that he has, in fact, killed Zara. The motive becomes clear at this point- Mahendra’s daughter committed suicide after being trolled by Zara’s fans online when she tried enacting Zara’s television character Bittu on the internet. To add fuel to the fire, it was Zara who called out and trolled Mahendra’s daughter publicly on social media, which resulted in her taking her life.

On the path to revenge, it was Mahendra who planned to kill Zara. When Mukul left a high and drunk Zara on the beach, as recounted by him many times, it was Mahendra who attacked Zara there and took him to the disputed property near the beach and killed her heinously. His aim was to destroy the face Zara was so proud of and teach her a lesson.
