Chris Hemsworth Talks About Thor: Love and Thunder and Playing the Superhero For 10 Years

The excitement to watch Thor: Love and Thunder in cinemas is growing every day. Chris Hemsworth will be back as the God of Thunder after 3 years. It is a second Marvel theatrical release after Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The upcoming MCU film is directed by Taika Waititi and also stars Natalie Portman, Tessa Thompson, Christian Bale, Chris Pratt, Russel Crowe and many others.

Marvel dropped a ‘Legacy of Thor Featurette’ in which Kevin Feige, Taika Waititi, Chris Hemsworth, Natalie Portman and Tessa Thompson talk about Thor and Chris’ exceptional portrayal of the superhero.

Feige said about casting Hemsworth as the God of Thunder, “One of the early decisions we made at Marvel Studios was bringing on Thor. And we always knew we wanted to find an amazing performer who had the chops to perform this character as we saw him. We looked the world over, and we found Chris Hemsworth. The way Chris did it, we thought, “Okay, this is gonna work.”

Natalie, who plays Jane Foster and Mighty Thor in Love and Thunder, praised her co-star and said, “It’s really, really just impressive to watch him work. He’s so committed and works so hard. He has such incredible comedic talent as well.

Waititi stated, “When I came on to do Ragnarok, I basically just said, “Look, man, you just got to be more of yourself.” It would make the character more relatable and funny. I think that’s what you want in a Super Hero.”
