It is the air of Cannes 2022 and we are all thrilled to see some amazing red carpet fashion and incredible films that will touch everyone. Also known as the Festival de Cannes, this year marks the 75th annual celebration of this international film festival. The festival is held to preview new films of all genres from all around the world. This year the festival is paying tribute to icon Tom Cruise with the release of his film Top Gun: Maverick as well as The Truman Show from 1998 which serves as an inspiration for this year’s Cannes’ official poster.
The festival is invitation-only and it is always a delight seeing Indian celebrities walk down the legendary red carpet representing their nation and promoting their work of art. As pretty much everyone knows, actor Deepika Padukone has made it to the jury of Cannes 2022 and is honoured to be a part of the panel. The Gehraiyaan actor has been a frequent attendee at the film festival for a long time. However, Padukone is not all from India who will be walking down the carpet this year.

Apart from Deepika, there is another Indian celebrity who has been frequent at the Cannes Film Festival over the years. Since 2002, actor and Miss World 1994 Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been a devoted Cannes attendee and, reports are that she might be seen gracing the carpet this year too. Another returning figure at the event is going to be Hina Khan, who made her debut on the red carpet back in 2019.
2022 is also the year of debuts when it comes to cinema, fashion or walking the world’s most glamourous red carpet. South Indian actor Nayanthara as well as actor Aditi Rao Hydari are both set to make their debut at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. TV star Helly Shah is also set to follow the lead. The event will also witness appearances from actors Tamannaah Bhatia, Pooja Hegde and Nayanthara.
