Cafe Minamdang Overview
Cafe Minamdang (미남당) is a mystery-drama-comedy TV series directed by Ko Jae-hyun and written by Park Hye-jin, the series is based on the book Minamdang: Sagun Soochub written by Jung Jae-han. The series, created by Park Hye-jin, Ko Jae-hyun and Yun Ra-young, takes over KBS2’s Monday-Tuesday 9.30 PM KST slot previously occupied by Bloody Heart.
The series follows criminal profiler turned scammer Nam Han-jun who scams people with his charisma. However, he also helps them with his services by getting involved in their lives and giving them customer service. In one way or another, his life gets entwined with detective Han Jae-hui and chaos ensues!
The series is based on the novel Minamdang Sagun Soochub by Jung Jae-han.

The focus of the show should stick to comedy and crime. I ship the bromance of the actors and the second lead romance too. But please the main lead romance is trying too hard. It felt forced and out of nowhere. The main leads just lack chemistry and the show reminds me of the age gap. It is hard to forget what I saw in the drama earlier with a rather young teenage girl and her crush on (a grown up man that looks like in his twenties, male lead). I cannot pretend I did not see the age difference. The male lead should be Ahjushi (uncle) instead of oppa (brother) right?
I totally agree with you. Honestly, I don’t understand the ages of the people in the drama. It seems like Han-jun hasn’t aged a minute. In comparison, I love Su-cheol and Hye-jun together.
