Based on Mitarai ke, Enjou Suru, the manga series by Moyashi Fujisawa, Burn the House Down is an upcoming Netflix Japanese series. From the looks of the trailer, the show seems to be dark and captivating; taking us, along with our protagonist, on a ride full of silent trespassing, eavesdropping, and shocking secrets. After all, a home isn’t a home without secrets, right?

Emotions will play a pivotal role in the show, as a ruined childhood has its own fill of unaddressed pain and rage. In this case, it is the pain of a lost home, a father who left, and a struggling mom. At the same time, the show will address revenge which is the motivating factor for our protagonist to find the truth that cost her the love of a family. Burn the House Down has been written by Moyashi Fujisawa and Arisa Kaneko (Helter Skelter). It has been directed by Yuichiro Hirakawa.

The trailer seems to tell that Makiko isn’t like what she seems to be. She has ulterior motives and it is possible that she was responsible for the fire. But we can’t tell for sure. And neither can Anzu. The deeper she digs, the weirder it gets. Family secrets will be revealed and it will be upto Anzu to throw light on them as she searches for answers.
