Following the recent premiere of the concert film, BTS: Yet to Come, on Prime Video, the South Korean music industry is again treating its fans to a new hit entry with the BTS Monuments Beyond the Star documentary releasing this December. A month ahead of the series premiere on Disney+, the streamer has announced the release date and shared a quick glimpse of the upcoming addition to the long list of BTS documentaries and content that came out this year to keep the fans occupied while the members are on their well-earned hiatus and are completing their respective military services.
The BTS Monuments Disney+ title is slated to release on the OTT platform on December 20, 2023. Now that the BTS members have completed a glorious decade on the musical front, this original title will encompass their experiences and behind-the-scenes moments shared between the members of the group these past ten years. Digging into how they’ve achieved the unachievable and invincible status on the international musical charts, all seven members – RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V aka Taehyung, and Jungkook – will take turns to divulge the secrets of what kept them glued together on this long and arduous journey.

The series is expected to have a total of 8 episodes, with two episodes dropping on the streamer every Wednesday, starting December 20. BTS Monuments Beyond the Star teaser further grants us a look at the septet, as the video begins with J-Hope opening up about how they “felt each and every one of those emotions”, hinting at what possibly drew the members closer, and just as expected, Suga completes the thought by highlighting that they in fact “started making music again” as a result of that.
These words are most likely hinting at how the members had thoughts of going their separate ways at some point. This heartbreaking moment will be remembered by long-time ARMYs who witnessed all seven of them crying during their 2018 MAMA Awards accepting speech as they made clear to the fans how they together overcame those heartrending thoughts.
