As of January 16, 2023, BTS’ Jimin has been announced to be Dior’s new global ambassador. The fashion line has posted two looks of the singer donning pieces from their Summer 2023 collection. While the first one of the creations by the Artistic Director of Dior men’s collection, i.e. Kim Jones, boasts a rather colourful visage with a zipped down net-layered teal coloured jacket and an olive green pair of pants with complementary combat boots topped with a dainty, leafy touch. The outfit is completed with accessories like hope earrings and a prickly stoned necklace following the same colour theme.
The second outfit, on the other hand, takes the darker tone with a warm dark green pullover, with zips on the side top. Paired with black black comfy pants, this attire screams comfort, and as Dior claims, “channels Monsieur Dior’s passion for the outdoors”. The same pictures linked with the announcement were also posted on the brand’s Twitter profile, and fans instantly went gaga over Jimin taking charge of the scene. The newest union of these two different worlds is a warm reminder of how Jones prepared custom-made outfits for the group’s stadium tour as well.
The BTS Army has once again taken the reins to make the declaration loud and clear that it’s “game over” and how this latest shift has “changed people’s lives”. The rapid rounds of retweets received by the same post has achieved a new feat of its own by becoming the first tweet on Dior’s account to have gained these many likes and retweets. This comes just three days after the premiere of the VIBE music video, a project released by the member in question, in collaboration with BIGBANG’s Taeyang.
Other than that, Jimin is also gearing up for yet another highly anticipated event of the year – the release of his solo album. Officials from HYBE Labels have commented on the matter saying that the schedule will be out once everything is finalised. Following, team members J-hope, Jin and RM, it’s now time for Jimin to come out with his official solo project under Bighit Music in February. He’s previously come out with an OST titled With You for the K-drama Our Blues, in collaboration with Ha Sung-woon.
