Brewing Love Episode 10 Recap

Yong-ju feels the weight of responsibility as the beer taste test ends poorly, thanks to Jang-gyun’s manipulative schemes to sabotage the ratings. With employees brainwashed into giving low scores, Yong-ju gets scolded by her boss, Tae-jo, and mocked by Jang-gyun. Despite the setback, she resolves to prove herself, knowing the chairman will personally taste the beer the next day.
That evening, the team heads out for drinks, trying to lift their spirits. Yong-ju steps outside for air, burdened with guilt, and Min-ju comforts her. His unwavering support reminds her not to shoulder the blame alone. At the meeting hall the following day, Jang-gyun gleefully mentions the poor internal ratings, but the chairman dismisses it, focusing solely on whether the officials find the beer satisfactory. They all respond positively, restoring some hope.

In a bold move, Min-ju announces he will enter the international blind beer contest to prove the beer’s quality. He declares that if he wins, he’ll take full authority over its production. The chairman agrees, much to Jang-gyun’s dismay. Later, Min-ju updates the team about the plan, and everyone places their trust in him. Before they part, Min-ju subtly nudges Chan-hwi and A-reum to talk, sensing their unresolved tension.

At the park, A-reum tries to express how much Chan-hwi means to her, but his stoic demeanor leaves her frustrated. Feeling unheard, she walks away, wishing she could confide in Yong-ju but choosing to hold back. Meanwhile, Chan-hwi heads to a swimming pool, haunted by his past. Overwhelmed, he becomes motionless in the water until Min-ju finds him. They have an honest conversation, with Min-ju encouraging him to fight his battles for the sake of the person he loves. Chan-hwi, however, struggles with the fear of hurting A-reum because of his PTSD.
The next morning, Yong-ju surprises Min-ju by showing up at his home. Having missed their date night due to his intervention with Chan-hwi, she plans a special day for him. She takes him to the village meeting hall, where his entire family awaits, creating an awkward yet touching reunion. The villagers help ease the tension between Min-ju and his father, who share a heartfelt conversation over beers. They acknowledge the pain they’ve both carried in trying to protect each other, mending their strained relationship.

Meanwhile, Chan-hwi takes A-reum to a shooting range, hoping to open up about his past. Initially, she admires his skill, but when he rapidly fires shots, the intensity unsettles her. Later, at an elegant steak dinner, he reveals his experiences as a soldier, including taking lives to protect his nation. His vivid descriptions of seeing blood on his plate due to PTSD make her uneasy. When he struggles to breathe and rushes outside, A-reum contemplates the weight of his pain before running after him. She embraces him, promising to support him through his challenges. The two share a tender moment, solidifying their commitment to one another.

Back in the village, Min-ju and Yong-ju take a walk after dinner. She motivates him with her confidence in his beer’s potential to win. On the competition day, Min-ju sends his beer with a delivery person while the team anxiously awaits the results. A flashback reveals Jang-gyun plotting to sabotage the competition by swapping Min-ju’s beer with another. When the winner is announced, Jang-gyun prepares to celebrate his victory—but it’s Min-ju who takes the title, shocking everyone.

Another flashback shows how Min-ju outsmarted Jang-gyun, having anticipated the swap and intercepted the scheme. The victory is sweet as Min-ju promptly kicks Jang-gyun off the team, earning cheers from his colleagues. Days later, as Yong-ju discusses beer delivery logistics, she learns that the export has been unexpectedly canceled. Rushing out to investigate, she finds Min-ju and confronts him. His cold demeanor and formal address of “Ms. Chae Yong-ju” catch her off guard.

He reveals that the beer batch won’t be dispatched, leaving her shocked and confused. The sudden shift in Min-ju’s behavior leaves a cloud of uncertainty hanging over their relationship and the future of the beer.
