Despite the setback, she resolves to prove herself, knowing the chairman will personally taste the beer the next day.

That evening, the team heads out for drinks, trying to lift their spirits. Yong-ju steps outside for air, burdened with guilt, and Min-ju comforts her. His unwavering support reminds her not to shoulder the blame alone. At the meeting hall the following day, Jang-gyun gleefully mentions the poor internal ratings, but the chairman dismisses it, focusing solely on whether the officials find the beer satisfactory. The villagers help ease the tension between Min-ju and his father, who share a heartfelt conversation over beers. They acknowledge the pain they’ve both carried in trying to protect each other, mending their strained relationship.

Meanwhile, Chan-hwi takes A-reum to a shooting range, hoping to open up about his past. Initially, she admires his skill, but when he rapidly fires shots, the intensity unsettles her. Later, at an elegant steak dinner, he reveals his experiences as a soldier, including taking lives to protect his nation. His vivid descriptions of seeing blood on his plate due to PTSD make her uneasy. When he struggles to breathe and rushes outside, A-reum contemplates the weight of his pain before running after him. Back in the village, Min-ju and Yong-ju take a walk after dinner. She motivates him with her confidence in his beer’s potential to win. On the competition day, Min-ju sends his beer with a delivery person while the team anxiously awaits the results. A flashback reveals Jang-gyun plotting to sabotage the competition by swapping Min-ju’s beer with another. When the winner is announced, Jang-gyun prepares to celebrate his victory—but it’s Min-ju who takes the title, shocking everyone.

Another flashback shows how Min-ju outsmarted Jang-gyun, having anticipated the swap and intercepted the scheme. The victory is sweet as Min-ju promptly kicks Jang-gyun off the team, earning cheers from his colleagues. Days later, as Yong-ju discusses beer delivery logistics, she learns that the export has been unexpectedly canceled. Rushing out to investigate, she finds Min-ju and confronts him.
