Branding in Seongsu Kdrama: Kim Ji-eun Exudes Fashionable Charisma as a Workaholic Boss in New Stills

Branding in Seongsu Kdrama marks Kim Ji-eun’s highly awaited return to the acting scene after her much-praised stints in One Dollar Lawyer with Namkoong Min and Longing With You alongside Na In-woo. Also known as Branding in Seongsu-dong (브랜딩 인 성수동), the upcoming South Korean fantasy romance drama web series is slated for a February OTT premiere. Brand new stills of the drama were shared by its original streaming platform U+ Mobile TV and production banner Studio X+U (Instagram: xplusu.series) on January 15, 2024.

Although the stills particularly shine the light on Kim Ji-eun’s character, Kang Na-eon, a workaholic marketing team leader, the show also stars Park Solomon aka Lomon in a significant role as So Eun-ho, especially since the two will be entangled in an unexpected love arc, categorised as a “reverse romance”. While Ji-eun takes the lead as the youngest team boss, Lomon will be donning the role of a silly intern working under her.

The new Branding in Seongsu stills capture Ji-eun’s fictional persona leading the professional arena with a sophisticated air about her character. Much like her role in One Dollar Lawyer, here too, the actress exudes undeniable charisma with her suited avatar as she doesn’t merely opt for the usual suit-and-tie look, rather makes a statement out of her white-collar twists to the outfits that are equally chic and in vogue.

The forthcoming K-drama series will release on February 5, 2024, and will revolve around Kang Na-eon and So Eun-ho’s unintentional kiss that will result in a body swap scenario, giving way to an endless series of confusions as ultimately, hatred withers away to make room for a chaotic blossoming love. Also starring Yang Hye-ji, Kim Ho-young, and others, the business-centred fantasy romance series has been directed by Jung Hun-soo.
