The wait for the much-anticipated sequel Brahmastra Part 2 will get a little longer for the fan of the Astraverse universe, as director Ayan Mukerji might need more time to work on the scripting process of the movie. Notably, in the first part of the trilogy, Brahmastra Part One Shivam we get to see the sequel titled Brahmastra Part Two Dev before the end credits.
Brahmastra Part 2 Dev
In his official Instagram post, director Ayan Mukerji revealed the new timeline for the upcoming continuation of the Brahmastra trilogy and penned down his complete thoughts about the next phase. Notably, he also mentioned that the shooting for the next two parts will take place simultaneously, as he wants the next two instalments to drop within a close time frame.
Ayan Mukerji also stated that he might also be directing a new movie, which will be an exciting opportunity for him. However, there is not much clarity if the film will fall under the Astraverse universe or remain an independent standalone project. Moreover, as of now, the details of the speculated spin-off are still under wraps (something which the director will spill more beans on some other day).
For the unversed, Brahmastra Part One Shiva was released last year, after a long and worthy wait of more than ten years. Ayan Mukerji took a decade to build up the concept of Astraverse and Brahamstra, to present a giant feat of incredible visual effects for the global audience.
The film was met with mixed reactions among fans and critics and garnered more than 400 crores at the worldwide box office. Moreover, Ranbir Kapoor received a plethora of praise for his performance in the film, along with Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and others. Notably, the film also had a small yet appealing cameo from Shah Rukh Khan, which resulted in a heap of excitement among the fans.
