Bitch x Rich Season 2 Episode 5 Recap

Picking up after the events of last week, the crowd at the party are left shocked at the engagement announcement and even more so when Je-na destroys Yul-hee’s reputation for wearing the same dress as Hye-in. After Je-na leaves, Yul-hee throws food at Hye-in, and she throws the insult back at her. As Hye-in reels from the insult, Je-na questions Ji-wook’s motives, but he refuses to give her anything. They do agree with using each other until they see fit.

The video of the previous night reaches the school, leaving the rest of the students reeling. Hae-in, meanwhile, is left distraught when she learns that Do-un isn’t a part of Diamond 6, which affects him a lot. Elsewhere, Hye-in tries to learn more about Si-eun from Sa-rang, who plays dumb, leaving her frustrated. Later that day, Yul-hee gets a visit from Min-hee, and the two decide to conspire together against Je-na.

Je-na and Hye-in eventually have a conversation, wherein the former reminds her of her place but does mention that she has done her a favour. She also hands her the notes for the next day’s interview, and although Hye-in acts unwilling to take handovers, she doesn’t have much of a choice. Her interview goes well the next day, and she ends up asking Je-na whether she knows anything about Sa-rang, remembering finding Si-eun’s phone in his bag.

That night, we learn that Jin-wook’s father is planning on taking over Hanmyeong and then getting rid of him. Meanwhile, we see Jin-wook planning his next steps, which, surprisingly, involve Yul-hee!

Another episode where everyone constantly talks about doing things, but nothing really happens. I am unsure whether or not there will be action at any point in the future, but as it stands at the moment, I am bored. That being said, the Jin-wook twist looks promising. I am looking forward to it!
