Love Take Two Episode 7 Recap

The episode opens with Hyo-ri confessing her feelings to Bo-hyeon, who reciprocates her feelings. This leaves her daydreaming the next day, which Ji-an immediately catches on to. Anyway, the villagers arrive to celebrate the opening of Ji-an’s restaurant, and it turns into a happy and harmonious evening.

With the restaurant working successfully, everyone is busy serving the customers. In the midst of this, however, Ji-an and Yeo-jeong meet in the most awkward moment as they have a cold fight over Jeong-seok. Although Yeo-jeong tries to look down on Ji-an, she takes it in her stride. However, when she openly tells Ji-an not to be so close to Jeong-seok and eventually leaves with him and Bo-hyeon. After a successful launch day, Ji-an and Sun-yeong are filled with excited anticipation for what comes next and enjoy catching up with one another.

The next morning, Ji-an learns how to cycle with Jeong-seok’s help, and although she falls and injures herself, the two of them share some lovely moments. Later on, Moon-hee arrives to share in the new restaurant’s joys, and her bond with Hyo-ri leaves Ji-an happy. Later, Yeo-jeong tries to recruit Ji-an to help her with the site inspection, hoping that her coming will make Jeong-seok tag along as well. It does work like that, but in the end, Yeo-jeong insults Ji-an’s experience and looks down upon her, leaving her thoroughly insulted. Elsewhere, Bo-hyun and Hyo-ri spend a romantic evening together.

That night, Sun-yeong gives her the push necessary to find her footing and confidence again, reminding her that she has been pushed around before and that she’s not the kind to not push back. Meanwhile, Jeong-seok gives Yeo-jeong a piece of his mind and tells her that she was being unnecessarily rude to Ji-an. It takes her for a loop, especially when he further asks her to stop calling him with a romantic nickname.

The next morning, Hyo-ri shares the news of Moon-hee getting her daughter’s belongings with Ji-an, expressing her worry for her. When Ji-an goes to check up on her, she has disappeared, and the villagers get together to find her. Ji-an eventually finds herself dangerously close to the ocean and rushes to her. The two have a heartbreaking conversation there, one that they never could have had with their own loved ones in the past. Eventually, Moon-hee becomes unwell enough that she slips and falls into the water, and after they bring her back home, Ji-an has a breakdown.

Jeong-seok, who was there during Ji-an’s father’s death but was unable to help her, refuses to let history repeat itself and rushes to comfort her, finding her crying alone once again. She opens up to him about her helplessness, crying profusely, and he simply comforts her, telling her to stop pretending to be fine.

This drama is one of the best of this year, and the emotions that it tackles are done so beautifully that it’s hard not to be engrossed in every character’s plights. From Moon-hee’s story to Ji-an’s, it’s all helplessness, but there’s hope, love and laughter as well. It’s a healing drama that confronts your worst feelings and then helps you to overcome them, and I am thoroughly looking forward to seeing things work out for all of these people.
