Bigg Boss 20 Episode 59 had Arishfa Khan finding herself at the centre of not one, but multiple arguments and hygiene discussions; Love Gill and Yung DSA’s friendship faces another dent, and emotional moments take over the episode in the end.
Emotional moments came up with the voice message from the housemates’ respective families, which brought a rather different energy. The messages also came with a twist of sacrificing someone else’s life for another person’s message. Kanika Mann and Qazi Touqeer have received their share of messages, and Kanika was seen visibly emotional by the same.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 59: Arishfa Khan Faces Backlash
The episode started with the argument that started after the nomination task the previous day, where Arishfa Khan’s comment about Aamrapali Dubey as “baccha bechne waali” was objected to by Yung. Yung DSA, ScoutOP and Aamrapali were seen confronting Arishfa in the episode, and the verbal spat continued.
During the argument, Arishfa Khan was body-shamed over her height and her makeup was also brought into the discussion. Arishfa, however, did not let the comments sit; she firmly pointed out that it was with the very makeup that she earns and survives.
Arishfa Offends Aamrapali By Her Ways In Kitchen
Arishfa Khan was seen sprinkling salt into the food with her hands, which caught Aamrapali’s attention, who objected and asked her to be careful, pointing out that there were vegetarians in the house too. Her concern was that Arishfa had peeled eggs earlier and had not washed her hands before adding salt to the food, taking out salt with her hands. Arishfa, on the other hand, argued that even other housemates did the same thing.
She later discussed the matter with Qazi Touqeer, Mahhi Vij and Uditi Singh. During their conversation, Mahhi asked whether Arishfa mentioned that Yung also did the same. Arishfa mentioned that she realised that later but had already mentioned that other people did it too. The situation became complicated later, when Aamrapali was speaking to Mahhi in the presence of other housemates in the kitchen, complaining about Arishfa’s behaviour and her not being apologetic. Mahhi mentioned that it was because Arishfa said Yung also did the same thing.
Yung immediately went to confront Arishfa, who was sitting outside the house with Manish Goel discussing the incident, and the latter made her understand the situation. Manish Goel also clarified the issue to Yung and calmed him down before the issue escalated.
Arishfa’s Hygiene Issues Spark Another Disagreement
Arishfa Khan was later seen discussing another hygiene-related concern with Mahhi. This time, she brought up Love Gill’s bathroom habits, mentioning that Love used the bathroom to pee and explaining why she considered it unhygienic. The conversation did not stay between the two for long as Mahhi, Love and Aamrapali all got involved with them questioning Arishfa’s own bathroom habits and pointing out that she spends almost 30 minutes in the washroom in the morning. Love was particularly unhappy that Arishfa was discussing something so personal openly in the house. When the boys were asked to stay away because it was personal, Gullu and Qazi reminded them they were discussing it on national television.
Kanika Mann decided that she did not want to be a part of the conversation and kept herself away from the entire discussion.
Love-Yung Equation Gets Another Roadblock
The night had another uncomfortable moment. Love, Aamrapali, Scout, and Yung were all sitting together on Aamrapali and Love’s bed, chatting. During the conversation, Love accidentally began speaking directly to Yung, but as soon as she realised that she did not want to address him, she quickly said “Sorry” and continued talking, which was rather immediate. Yung was seen as somewhat offended and irritated by the interaction and walked away, saying that he had self-respect.
While Aamrapali tried to stop him and explain the situation, in the hope that the misunderstanding could be cleared, Scout had a different perspective and said that if Love wanted to completely cut off Yung, it was her choice.
Scout and Love were later seen discussing the situation with Kanika. During the conversation, Scout explained what he meant when he said “playing solo”. He clarified that it did not mean he would stop looking out for Kanika and Love, whom he considered his sisters and wanted things that were advantageous to all of them, while acknowledging that he was on good terms with Gullu now.
Yung, on the other hand, discussed the situation with Aamrapali and his feelings towards Scout. He recalled how his first friend in the outside world, someone who had introduced him to rapping, was no longer friends with him. He said that he felt that perhaps he should have remembered that Scout, who was his first friend in the BB 20 house, might also not remain his friend forever. It was a rather revealing comparison given how much the Scout-Yung relationship has changed over the course of the show.
Families Send Voice Messages; Housemates Get Emotional
The episode, after all the arguments, finally brought an emotional moment, shifting the focus to something more personal with the song “Sandese Aate Hai”. The families of the housemates had sent voice messages for them. The task required a housemate to stand on a disc, put on their headphones and dance. Once the music stopped, the start of the voice message was revealed, and they were presented with two options involving a choice between their own extra life or the message for the other housemate. Depending on the decision made by the contestant on the disc, the housemate whose audio message was available in that round would either get to hear it or miss it.
Manish Goel was the first contestant to participate. On getting the choice, he decided to let Qazi Touqeer get his family message and the photograph. Qazi did ask Manish to give up the message, but the latter chose the message. Qazi was later seen discussing the decision with other housemates, who asked him to stop talking about it because he might come across as ungrateful towards the person who actually sacrificed their life for him.
The next emotional moment came when Gullu decided to sacrifice one life to let Kanika hear an audio message from her family saying that giving up the life was fine, as if the audience wanted to see him, they would help him stay. Kanika became visibly emotional as she listened to the recording, eventually breaking down in tears. She then hugged Gullu and expressed how much the decision meant to her, saying that this is what she had earned from her journey in the Bigg Boss house.
Yung DSA then stood on the disk, and the available audio was from Uditi’s family. On hearing the voice, Uditi broke down emotionally. However, whether Uditi actually gets to hear the complete recording remains unanswered, as the episode ended before revealing Yung’s decision.

Episode 59 of Bigg Boss 20 had quite a bit going on, but the final task brought in the emotional anchor. While the housemates continued getting caught up in arguments, fights and shifting loyalties, the family messages offered a much-needed reminder of their real lives.
However, who gets to hear the voices of their family members after almost two months is a question for the next episode. After Kanika’s emotional moment, the anticipation surrounding the remaining messages is high.
