Bigg Boss 20 Episode 52 started with a controversy over “napping” and not waking up, which turned into an ugly argument about Arishfa Khan’s education, and somehow even brought a missing cup and a full-blown kitchen argument into the picture. The episode also had the nomination drama giving all the housemates a dedicated platform to vent.
The morning began with Mahhi Vij asking Kanika Mann to wake up after the morning song had already ended so that the “kukuduku” alarm is not rung, and ration is not cut. Kanika did not immediately get out of bed, and a few others also remained on their beds, eventually causing the alarm to ring. A fight that went beyond the question of “sleep” blew up, and the house also had Aamrapali Dubey and Mahhi Vij disagree over kitchen responsibilities, which eventually carried into nominations. ScoutOP nominated Love Gill, leaving the latter in tears.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 52: Arishfa Khan and Gullu’s Fight Gets Personal
The morning started with an argument that began when Mahhi entered the bedroom after the “kukuduku” alarm was rung. Arishfa Khan named Gullu, Aasif Khan, ScoutOP and Kanika Mann among the housemates she believed were sleeping. Kanika snapped back, insisting that she was not sleeping and was only lying down because she was unwell and also accused Arishfa of picking fights with her just to get seen.
The disagreement over the complaint Arishfa made escalated, with Gullu and her becoming the central characters of the verbal exchange. Both exchanged insults, but things seemed to take an unpleasant turn when Gullu called Arishfa “kam padhi hui” (less educated), which hit Arishfa hard, breaking her into tears because she felt the comment was personal. She said that she had to work to support her family and could not pursue education as much as she might have wanted.
Mahhi questioned Gullu for bringing her education into the argument, while Gullu insisted that he did not mean anything personal. Arishfa meanwhile retaliated by calling Gullu “psychopath” and “ghatiya”, among other words. Mahhi and Uditi objected to Arishfa’s use of those words, telling her to not make such remarks. When Uditi Singh went to make Arishfa understand, the latter entered a verbal disagreement with Uditi as well.
Gullu even questioned if his feelings were not feelings and him and Aasif were seen “sobbing”, insisting that the tears were genuine.
Gullu and Kanika Hide Arishfa’s Cup
Gullu and Kanika decided to hide Arishfa’s cup, which was left on the kitchen counter. Kanika took the cup and hid it under the bed in the Danube room. Later, Aamrapali confirmed to Arishfa that the cup was hidden by the two. Arishfa confronted Gullu, but he denied having anything to do with the incident. Kanika, in fact, later told Arishfa that she had previously hidden Kanika’s cup too when it was left on the counter, so she did the same.
Aamrapali Dubey and Mahi Vij Clash Over Cooking
Aamrapali Dubey was cooking when Mahhi asked her to put the dal on to cook, to which the former responded that she would do it once she had finished what she was already doing. Mahhi mentioned that that was what she meant, but Aamrapali maintained that she knew her responsibilities and did not need instructions.
Mahhi explained that as the captain, she is the one housemates approach when the food is delayed. On asking the other housemates who have been complaining about the food, however, nobody appeared to come forward. Of course, the argument did not end in the kitchen and followed into the nomination task, where Mahhi nominated Aamrapali on similar grounds.
Nomination Task In a Board-Game Style
The final part of the episode brought a nomination task featuring a board-game-style setup. The arrangement was fairly straightforward, with six housemates remaining nominated while five housemates remained safe, and Mahhi was already safe without being a part of the nominations because she is the serving captain for the week. Mahhi had to spin a wheel 11 times, calling housemates to make changes in the existing seating arrangements for others. The housemates were to make as many swaps as appeared on the wheel.
The initial seating arrangement was decided by captain Mahhi Vij and was as follows:
Red chairs: Aamrapali Dubey, Aasif Khan, Arishfa Khan, Kanika Mann, Love Gill and Manish Goel
Green chairs: Gullu, ScoutOP, Qazi Touqeer, Uditi Singh, Yung DSA
After Mahhi Vij assigned the first positions, the task proceeded with the housemates making their choices according to their dynamics and the wheel’s numbers.
ScoutOP Nominates Love Gill
Scout’s decision to nominate Love Gill left her in tears. Love Gill was seen crying throughout the episode, with Aamrapali trying to console her. Scout explained that after everything that had happened recently, he wanted to start afresh. However, for Love, the nomination seemed to be a painful moment in an already difficult day.
Bigg Boss Season 20 Episode 52: Name-Calling, Nominations and Disagreements
Episode 52 of Bigg Boss 20 appeared as a reminder that the Bigg Boss house can turn the smallest disagreement into a very personal confrontation. A morning alarm can navigate its way into a fight with name-calling, hiding cups and a round of accusations; and a disagreement over “dal” can turn into a conflict.
The episode had arguments, accusations and enough drama to last long. Yet the episode also brought emotional moments and fun elements, giving the right amount of more than just people screaming at each other in a closed house.
