Bigg Boss 20 Episode 46 seemed like one of those days where a harmless joke turned into an argument, a captaincy decision left ScoutOP regretting, and a rule break cost the entire house 50% of the ration. The episode moved between feelings of being hurt, questionable humour and housemates getting annoyed with each other.
While Qazi and Arishfa found themselves at odds over an exchange, Scout had to deal with the consequences of his captaincy decision and a rule violation that he himself acknowledged, and the task added another layer to the growing tension.
Bigg Boss 20 Episode 46: Qazi-Arishfa’s Steam Iron Conversation Turns Ugly
An interaction that seemed to have begun as a fairly ordinary, playful one between Qazi Touqeer and Arishfa Khan took an uncomfortable turn when the two got into an argument over a “joke”. Qazi was using the steam iron when Arishfa helped him with it. The conversation initially seemed playful, with Qazi teasing her about her magical powers; however, things changed when he said “bhaap nikalne laga” before following it with “baap nikal gaya already”. Arishfa immediately distanced herself from the conversation after hearing the latter phrase. For her, the wordplay was not something that she could simply laugh off, and she made it clear that the comment had upset her.
Qazi tried to explain that he meant it about himself and the “father-daughter” relationship they had. During the previous day’s nomination task, he had stated that he no longer considered Arishfa his daughter and there was no father-daughter relationship, as Arishfa was only a fellow contestant to him. According to him, the joke was connected to that relationship and was not intended as an insult. Arishfa, however, was not convinced and opined that Qazi often said inappropriate things under the cover of humour, making it difficult for her to accept that everything was simply a joke. The misunderstanding became a heated verbal clash, with both appearing visibly angry.
Uditi Singh explained to Arishfa that she might have taken the situation too seriously and that it could have been just a misunderstanding. Eventually, Arishfa was seen apologising to Qazi, saying that she was sorry if he had not intended the comment in the wrong sense.
Scout Regrets His Captaincy Choice; Rulebreak Costs 50% Ration
Bigg Boss asked ScoutOP to identify the least deserving and the most deserving housemates for the next captaincy. Scout named Uditi Singh, Arishfa Khan and Qazi Touqeer as the least deserving, while placing Scout, Yung DSA and Aasif Khan as the most deserving. The decision immediately became a talking point among the housemates, who began teasing Scout for not choosing Love despite calling her his sister.
Scout seemed to regret his decision to leave out Love Gill, Amrapali Dubey and Kanika Mann, and his mood visibly changed as he became upset about his choices. Seeing Scout upset, Yung called him into the washroom attached to the bedroom. After Yung came out, Aasif went inside, and the situation later became the subject of an announcement from Bigg Boss, who asked Scout whether a rule had been broken.
Scout admitted that two people had been inside the washroom at the same time, breaking the rule. Bigg Boss immediately announced a 50% slash in the house’s ration as the punishment for the rule break. Yung apologised to the housemates, and Uditi pointed out that she had immediately responded by saying that rules are being broken, and that became the centre of another disagreement, with Scout and Yung criticising Uditi and Arishfa for allegedly complaining.
A situation that had begun with Scout feeling bad about his choices became a larger house issue involving rules, accountability and a ration cut for everyone.
Scout Pulls Arishfa During Task, Qazi Is Left Fuming
The episode’s task brought another clash involving Qazi, Scout and Arishfa. Qazi and Aasif had to stand on a disc and use a tunnel to move towards the other end when the disc stopped. The other housemates could fill the tunnel with bags to prevent the contestant they did not want to reach the finish line from progressing. The setup allowed everyone to support one of the two contenders. During the task, Scout was seen pulling Arishfa out by her legs, immediately triggering a confrontation that involved Qazi as well.
Scout’s argument was that Arishfa had been smiling during the incident; however, the latter clarified that smiling did not mean she was comfortable with what had happened. Her point was that her visible reaction should not automatically be taken as permission for someone to treat her in a way she did not like. This became another uncomfortable moment in the episode already filled with disagreements over intention and interpretation. The task was meant to determine who could make it to the finish point, but the clash shifted the attention away from the competition itself.

The common thread in this episode of Bigg Boss 20 seemed to be how intentions became the centre of the argument. Scout’s regret over leaving out Love, Amrapali and Kanika also showed how quickly a decision could become a source of frustration, and the 50% ration cut raised the stakes of a rule break that might otherwise have remained a smaller issue.
By the end of the episode, there were multiple unresolved tensions involving the same set of housemates, with the task providing another reason to stir up the tensions.
