As the Crow Flies: Has Netflix Renewed the Turkish TV Series For Another Season?

Turkish TV series are probably one of the most loved pieces on Netflix. So, it is no wonder that fans are already speculating about As the Crow Flies Season 2. Created by Meriç Acemi, the latest Turkish thriller features a talented star cast that includes Birce Akalay, Miray Daner, and İbrahim Çelikkol amongst others. With 8 episodes, each having a runtime of around 40-50 minutes, the series has been well received and, has been termed as the darker version of Apple TV’s The Morning Show.

As the Crow Flies revolves around Asli Tuna, a Gen Z fan of popular newsroom anchor Lale and, how she manoeuvres her way to climbing the ladder to reach the top of her job. The series threads on the dark side of a fan (Asli), who feels mistreated and cheated by her idol (Lale). We see Asli interning at the TV production company where Lale works as an intern and, she finds the most twisted ways to initially get noticed by Lale but, ultimately decides to overthrow Lale and get on top.

The first season ended with Lale taking her time off the newsroom and going to spend some time with her family, leaving Asli as the newsroom anchor. But, with being at the top, Asli gets to see how she is now the target of envious eyes, which once she was a part of. Although not exactly a cliffhanger, fans are excited to know what happens to Asli next now that she is at the slippery edge.

As the Crow Flies Season 2: When Will It Release?

Well, as much as we’d like to dive right back into Asli’s story, there isn’t any word yet about the series getting renewed. Given this was not marketed as a miniseries and with the love the show is receiving, there is a fair chance that Netflix will renew it for a season two, sometime soon.
