Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian Episode 7 Recap

This episode dives deeper into Kuze’s family background. Ayano, the girl who was meant to support Yuki, confronts Kuze with some tough questions, putting him on the spot. She reminds him that his grandfather disapproved of his opposition to his sister, Yuki, and questions why he’s aligning with Yuki’s enemy instead of helping her. This conversation reveals that Kuze keeps quiet about his sister due to their complicated family dynamics. However, it also becomes clear that his decision to support Alya is entirely his own and doesn’t stem from any animosity towards his sister.

We also gain more insight into Ayano’s personality, which is reminiscent of a knight or samurai. Her deep admiration for both Kuze and Yuki is unwavering. She has a strong sense of duty, having followed in her grandfather’s footsteps, who served the Suou family for generations. Ayano now serves Yuki directly, having undergone rigorous training under her grandfather’s guidance.

Kuze’s character is further explored as well. Initially presenting himself as a slacker, he’s actually more talented than his younger sister, Yuki. Yuki even looks forward to finally having a proper confrontation with her brother, who has always excelled in every area. Kuze’s perceptiveness also shines through, as he accurately calls out Masha’s seemingly airheaded behaviour as a deliberate act in front of her sister.

In this episode, we might see Kuze and Alya battling head-to-head with a new rival, Taniyama. This new girl blames Alya for something very outrageous and insults her in front of the entire school. Hopefully, our protagonists will be able to defeat her in the upcoming election.
