Missing Alchemy of Souls? These Stills Will Make You Rewatch the Korean Drama

Alchemy of Souls episodes 17 and 18 may not have been released this week but the wait has made the fans eager and got them re-watching the previous episodes to get more clues, as to what awaits them next. With just four episodes left in part 1 of the series, the fans were also surprised with the news of part 2 of the series, which will have 10 episodes.

Set in a fictional country called Daeho that does not exist in history or on maps, the show is about the love and growth of young mages as they overcome their twisted fates due to a magic spell known as the alchemy of souls, which allows souls to switch bodies.

It follows the story of an elite warrior named Naksu, whose soul is accidentally trapped inside the weak body of Mu-deok, who is Jang-uk’s servant from a noble mage family. Jang-uk wants to return to the proper path in life after meeting the unrivalled assassin and wants her help to change his destiny. Starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Yu Jun-sang, Shin Seung-ho and others, the show has been winning hearts from day one.

Recently, the Swoon Netflix released some of the best stills from the show with a caption that says, ‘Who else is missing these magical mages?’ And the fans have been commenting how sad they were to find no episode this week and majorly missing the show.

In the upcoming episode, we will be able to see Mu-deok unsheathe the sword that she hasn’t been able to do all this while. She was waiting to be able to conjure all the strength that she withheld as Naksu but with Jang Uk being in danger, she is finally able to do it. Also, the ice stone appears in front of everyone while Jin Mu gives the task of protecting it to Jin Ho-kyung and fighting Songrim.

Meanwhile, the king might have ordered to have Mu-deok killed, with the new development some more dangers might come in the couple’s way as we see them kissing teary-eyed, and Mu-deok making another promise, that could be heard in the background.

From the queen performing alchemy in front of everyone to the return of the long-lost daughter (which is apparently fake). The new episodes definitely promise more drama, internal conflicts, the return of some big characters and maybe more clarity around Jang-uk’s birth.
