The fantasy Kdrama that has taken over our weekends and kept us eagerly waiting all week has excited us with stills from the upcoming episode. Alchemy of Souls has to be one of the most anticipated Kdrama because this wait is long and we are running out of theories to make for the new episodes. Amid this, tvN took to Instagram to share pictures from the upcoming episode that is warning us of a storm that is to arrive this weekend.
Before we begin, a little about what happened in the last episode (spoilers ahead). After Jang Uk passes the impossible task set by Park Jin, and Mu-deok wins a spot to enter Songrim as a servant, the two finally meet. There Jang Uk shows her the recruitment leaflet that she had given to him previously. While telling her that a letter is anything that conveys the feelings of the sender, this leaflet has also shown him her feelings during this separation. And in reply to this letter, he tells her that he too missed her which leaves her shocked for her hidden feelings have been seen by him.

The new stills show a horrified Mu-deok who is coming face to face with her growing feelings for Jang Uk. While she begins her training in Songrim, she can’t help but notice every of Jang Uk’s that is affecting her work. After Jang Uk reveals her care for him, her walls are slowly beginning to crumble as she tries to divert her focus by once again pushing her student to a dead end.
The other set of stills from the upcoming episode shows a sword pointed at Jang Uk and a confrontation with the crown prince as Mu-deok stands on the side, preparing another deadly battle for her pupil. The crazy master is once again ready to bring growth to her student with her dangerous teaching style. While Jang Uk has already faced off a deadly poison and a talented crown prince, what is the next challenge?

Alchemy of Souls (Return/환혼) is a 2022 Korean historical drama series directed by Park Joon-hwa and starring Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra and Jo Jae-yoon, alongside other cast members. The series revolves around Jang Uk and Mu-deok, residents of the fictional country of Daeho, whose shortcomings get eradicated when they invariably come into each other’s lives.
