Alchemy of Souls Season 2 Teaser: Jang UK Is Back With a Dangerous Aura and a Declaration for All

One of the best historical drama sequel of this year, Alchemy of Souls season 2 is finally making its return and the newly released teaser is all it took to skyrocket our excitement for what is to come! Starring Lee Jae-wook, Go Yoon-jung, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seong-ho, alongside other cast members, the Kdrama is created by Park Joon-hwa, Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran.

Named Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, the second season was already being looked forward to after the spectacular and cliffhanging ending that was brought to us in season 1, and with a preview so good, we still cannot stop talking about the show. And thus, with tvN releasing the teaser for the upcoming season, there was no doubt that this treat is only going to get fans to re-watch the show to freshen up their memories.

The teaser released today shows Jang Uk says, “I should have died back then” while reminding each and every citizen of Daeho and fans of the show of how his return was a huge turn of events in season 1. To be true, his death was the biggest twist in season 1 and seeing him return was like reigniting the fire in our hearts.

The teaser then continues to show some really good martial art movements, as white chrysanthemum petals float everywhere and the side profile of a girl in white sitting in room is shown. While we don’t really know if this is Mu-deok or Naksu, the shadow is enough to spark some flames among fans while also pouring water on our hopes, because the girl’s hand is partially pertrified.

Jang Uk then makes a declaration, “If my power serves as justification, not one person will leave this place alive” as he reigns his power over all and stands up to every individual who plotted the end of the two lovers in the previous season. Jang Uk has come back for revenge and is also on a hunt for all soul shifters in Daeho as he is seen fighting with Naksu’s sword throughout the teaser.

I have to say that this teaser is what I have been waiting for this whole time and it has certainly not disappointed because it opens up the season for the return of the show. And looking at Jang Uk using Naksu’s sword throughout the teaser only makes me cry out more and hope that something good happens in the upcoming season.

And I am pretty sure that his flame will soon be calmed by the one he has always loved.
