Alchemy of Souls Reactions: Fans Are Upset Without a New Episode

With the popular fantasy Korean drama Alchemy of Souls releasing new episodes every weekend, fans were extremely disappointed when it didn’t happen this week. AOS fans everywhere kept looking for episode 17 only to find that the show went on a hiatus this week. While some already knew the news, many were left shocked when the show didn’t release as usual.

If you don’t already know about the show then Alchemy of Souls (환혼) is a 2022 Korean fantasy drama which is set in the imaginary world of Daeho. The story revolves around magicians who get involved in sorcery that swaps the souls of people and people whose fates are affected by them.

The series stars Lee Jae-wook, Jung So-min, Hwang Min-hyun, Shin Seung-ho, Yoo Jun-sang, Oh Na-ra and Jo Jae-yoon, alongside other cast members and is created by Park Joon-hwa, and the famous Hong Sisters- Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran.

Coming back to the hiatus, some fans ran to Twitter to find out what happened while others expressed their unhappiness. On August 4, 2022, it was announced that the ongoing fantasy Kdrama Alchemy of Souls (환혼) will be going on a week-long hiatus after the release of episodes 15 and 16 this week.

This decision was made in order to enhance the level of completion for the second half. While it is for the betterment of the show, fans are unhappy about the disruption while the plot is reaching a new level of intensity.

The show has become one with a very good viewership rating as fans worldwide are loving the plot, chemistry and cast. The show has really pulled in many viewers with its intriguing plot and this sudden pause is definitely not appreciated by everyone.

But as we can do nothing but wait, someone wrote, “I hope we get longer duration #AlchemyOfSoulsEp17 & #AlchemyOfSoulsEp18 cause makes us waiting for 2 weeks. Please????@CJnDrama#AlchemyOfSouls”
