GIRLKIND Officially Disband, Make Statement on Social Media

On August 13, 2022, K-pop girl group GIRLKIND officially disbanded after 4 years, making the announcement on their social media. They explain that the group has made the decision after an internal discussion concerning their issues. The group could no longer be maintained and the disbanding came into effect soon after the discussion.

Following the announcement, Next Level Entertainment deleted all social media posts of the group except for the announcement notice. According to the announcement made, fans have been asking about the band after which the company finally put up an official notice. The notice thanks the fans for supporting the fans for the past 1670 days and hope for the fans to continue supporting the girls in the future.

The disbanding notice reads, “Hello. It’s Next Level Entertainment. We’re finally answering the questions that many fans asked. Please understand that it took some time to make an official statement. Due to internal issues, after discussing with GIRLKIND members, the final decision was made that GIRLKIND group activities could no longer be maintained.”

We would like to say thank you to the fans. Please continue to show support and love for each member’s personal activities.”

GIRLKIND was a five members girl group consisting of Sun J, Xeheun, Jikang, Medic Jin, and Ellyn. They debuted with Next Level Entertainment on January 17, 2018, with their first digital single FANCI. They later became the first Kpop girl group to ever perform in Bahrain.

The girl group continued their activities and held a concert in Japan earlier this year. However, the news of their disbandment is what came after the concert in Japan.

While is news has disappointed many fans, we wish the girls the very best of luck for their future.
