If episode 3 was all about action, the fourth episode nails it with a spectacular storyline as we see more villains coming up and a whole new twist towards the episode’s end. Of course, the chase is there, but the storyline gets much more intense and emotional.

Agent Kim Reactivated Episode 4 Review
Min-ji Is Finally More Than Just the Rescue Target
The series was circling the father risking everything to save his daughter, who apparently everyone thinks is dead. All this time, Min-ji was just a character who went missing, but in Episode 4, she wakes up. She not only gets up but proves why she’s Agent Kim’s daughter. Min-ji finally fights back as she tries to find ways to escape.
Despite her conditions and her weakness, she struggles and tries to survive. This gives Min-ji’s character autonomy, as she’s not only a damsel in distress but also a brave Merinda.

The Flashbacks Actually Earn Their Place
Despite the chaos, we still see some fresh storyline. This episode particularly shows more of the past, and it genuinely adds to the story. We learn about Kim’s training in North Korea and how brutal it actually was. We also see the misunderstanding about Agent 66’s brother, which helps explain why Kim is pretty angry.
Similarly, Gold Tooth’s backstory also seems painful. We see how he was thrown off the building where he once worked and how the evil people made him lose his teeth when he was forced to eat boiling potatoes. It clearly shows why he has become a villain who wants revenge.
Not that these past justify the villains’ actions, but it shows why they turned into monsters. So all they need now is not just punishment but a hug and a chance to turn good, if they’re willing to.
Our Favourite Ahjussi Trio Is Back Together, Briefly
One of the biggest joys of this series is definitely the trio. Our agents Kim, Han-su and Jin-cheol seriously have great chemistry. Watching them trying to find clues that lead to Min-ji, be it her phone or CCTV footage, their combo is satisfying. They’re not superheroes, but they’re strong enough to fight off the criminals. Han-su has yet another action scene while Jin-cheol sacrifices himself so that Kim can proceed to the port.
The Action Still Doesn’t Miss
The fight scenes are absolutely creative. We definitely love the way this series has ignited the adventurous spirit in us. We have some serious combat, rooftop chase and frantic scenes that make us love the fight choreography. The directors deserve credit for never letting the action descend into shaky-camera chaos.
What matters more is that the heroes don’t just punch the evil guys; they also get hurt. This feels humane and natural to watch.
Everything Is Heading Towards One Purpose
By the final act, we get to see why the major characters are power-packed: it’s all for Min-ji. Kim races towards the harbour, and Mr Ju and his bad guys arrive for different reasons. Gold Tooth believes he’s going to become a powerful guy. Min-ji wakes up and fights off. Ah, so much is going on, but the real truth is, Min-ji is the main idea.
Additionally, every episode ends by showing us a different conflict, and this week’s cliffhanger is the strongest. Min-ji fights back, and Kim is almost there. And boom, the episode ends. Argh!
Final Thoughts
Beneath the fights, we have the strong emotional storyline about broken families, old grudges and people fighting their demons. The flashbacks show the reasons why heroes became heroes and villains became villains. Min-ji finally becomes an active character instead of being the girl who’s about to be saved. Now she wants to survive and fight off.
With every major character heading to the same location, the episode ends with a cliffhanger, leaving us yearning for the next episode.
