aespa is Back with a Powerful Performance in the ‘Girls’ Music Video, Watch Now!

Earlier today, the Youtube channel of SM Entertainment- SMTOWN released the music video of Girls by the popular K-pop girl group aespa and fans cannot get over this powerful comeback. The group is back with a music video that takes us on a ride to a digital world as they take us deeper into the group’s SM universe lore. The girls are here to fight against the Black Mamba with the desire to meet their friend Naevis once again.

The music video starts off with aespa challenging the Black Mamba, telling her that they are back in the world of KWANGYA and this time they are here to defeat her for good. They are no longer the weak girls of the past but stronger and more powerful people today who are here to find a friend who had sacrificed herself. As the girls level up higher and higher, they defeat the minions of the Black Mamba in Girls music video. The music video continues the story of the group’s adventure while referencing to their previous songs and their AI friend Naevis.

The tunes follow aespa’s signature style with the elements of rough synth sounds that shows signifies the change the group has gone through in comparison to their older songs. The whole look of the group has also taken a more powerful turn with the sharper and more dangerous look that they have gone for in this music video. The group seems more like warriors in Girls which strongly puts forward their intentions for a fight.

Talking about the choreography, it is fast-moving, strong, and with elements of challenging their opponent. The choreography may not be much different from the group’s style but it has some new elements which are unique to this comeback. The group shifts between showing their choreography and fighting their opponents, keeping a very serious expression throughout the music video. The way they have executed their new style in the video is commendable and I have to say that I love the shift between their real and AI selves. Girls music video was unique, strong and impressive which can make anyone intrigued by aespa universe and the journey of the group till now.
