Daemons of the Shadow Realm Episode 10 Review

What did the daemons do?
It becomes clear that these daemons are brought by some third-party people. Tadera also asks Right and Left whether they know the new daemons because they acknowledged them in the previous episode. Right and Left then disclosed that they had met with those creatures a long time ago. Apparently, they were up to no good in the north, so they helped a monk to seal the daemons.

How did they manage to escape their seal?
The daemons revealed that a master freed them recently. Now they have come to get revenge on Right and Left. While talking, they also disclosed their knowledge of the twins and showed an interest in the one who wields Seal. Seeing this, Tdera acts as if he’s the master of Right and Left. He then goes on to instruct them to attack the daemons so that they do not realise his lie. Right and Left readily understand Tadera’s intention.

What happens after the battle begins?
An intense battle takes place between the daemons and Right and Left. They relentlessly attacked the daemons, but could not do much damage to them. On the other hand, we also get some very important information while the fight goes on. We learn that the intruders are actually from the Kagemori family. They were especially sent by the second son, Asuma, who looked shady from the beginning. Then we see that he listened to this entire interaction with the help of a butterfly daemon.
What wins or loses the fight?

Tadera and Yuru decide that they would use Tadera as the bait, precisely because the daemons are aware of his presence. They think that he’s the one who’s most powerful and not at all threatened by Yuru. Thus, Yuru will be the one who would land the final blow, but in a surprise attack. Tadera also attacks them with his huge collection of weapons and great marksmanship. He shoots right through their bodies, and they also could not protect themselves because, thanks to being sealed, they do not have much knowledge about the outside world or outside technology.
Does Yuru announce his actual status?
Yes, to win the fight properly, Yuru discloses the fact that he is the one who is the real master of Right and Left. Very interestingly, Yuru also lets Left and Right know that he does not want them to get involved in his fight with the daemons. He then starts to engage with the daemons on his own. He utilises a very good strategy to catch them by surprise, and then they get defeated by Right and Left.

What worked and what did not work?
This was another entertaining episode that delivered a solid action sequence. However, the pacing still felt somewhat uneven, with the story revealing information at a slower rate than expected. The series continues to hold back key details, making it difficult to fully invest in the story. There is clearly much more left to uncover, and hopefully, the upcoming episodes will reveal it.
