Jujutsu Kaisen Season 3 Episode 11 Recap

The episode kicks off with Megumi immediately going on the attack against Reggie. Initially, he lands a few hits, but Reggie quickly exposes the weaknesses in Megumi’s domain. We also learn that Megumi keeps very few objects in his shadow because he alone must bear their weight. To test him, Reggie introduces three massive cars, significantly increasing the strain on Megumi.

Despite the overwhelming burden, Megumi manages to put tremendous pressure on Reggie while struggling under the weight of the cars. It looks like Megumi might have the upper hand, but in a dramatic turn, Reggie recovers and returns to the fight. After a brief struggle, he escalates the attack, dropping an entire house into the domain in an attempt to crush Megumi.

The battle concludes unexpectedly. Reggie remains a villain through and through, yet he performs one act that redeems him slightly. Just as Megumi reaches the point of exhaustion, an Angel descends from the sky and literally flies away with him.

This episode begins with Yuta claiming that he will kill Kenjaku and not let Gojo face off against his own friend again. But that is when a cursed spirit called Kurourushi comes to fight with Yuta. This cursed spirit looks like a cockroach and loves to feed on humans. While fighting this spirit, Yuta uses some unlikely techniques with the intention of not disclosing his reversed course technology to his other enemies. Apparently, Ryu and Takako, two extremely powerful sorcerers, were also watching Yuta and his fights.

After Yuta handles Kurourushi, Takako comes out of nowhere to confront Yuta. From here on, the episode goes into a completely different lane, and it honestly becomes the best of this season for me. Yuta begins to fight two opponents, which also becomes three at one point. Both Ryu and Takako were exceptionally difficult sorcerers to deal with, and Yuta does a phenomenal job of fighting them. We also get to see the arrival of Rika, who takes the action to new levels.

However, it is the brilliant quality of animation and the exceptional use of colours that will steal your heart. Every panel was designed to make this episode an unforgettable experience. At one point, there were so many things happening on screen that it was even getting difficult for me to keep my focus. I had to pause, rewind, and experience each shot again and again. And that is exactly why it is important to compliment the director who planned every panel like this. Like always, the animation looked cinematic and very unique.

Verdict

The ending was also really good because it left me with anticipation, but at the same time, enough satisfaction to be happy with this season. Yuta has also proven himself to be an extremely strong sorcerer from whom I expect many great things. Now, we will have to see how other sorcerers deal with their situation later in the next season.

All in all, this season is hands down the best in Jujutsu Kaisen history, at least for me.
