Ms Incognito Episode 8 Recap

The episode opens with Yeong-ran and the others meeting the new schoolbus driver and Yeong-ran expressing doubs about the man’s true identity. Unfortunately, she isn’t able to do a background check because his previous company doesn’t have his records but she continues to press on and keep an eye on him. She further finds several new arrivals in the village that leave her suspicious but there’s only so much that she can do.

For some reason, So-young thinks that she can threaten her daughter and tells her that she must send her money to maintin the dignity of the family. Meanwhile, Seon-woo threatens to expose Seon-yeong if she doesn’t give him her shares and explains that he has a video of Ye-rim’s death. This leaves Seon-yeong tense and she immediately decides to meet him to resolve the issue. Don overhears this conversation and immediately tells Yeong-ran the information, leading them to think of next plans.

That night, Yeong-ran realises that someone has taken down one of her cameras and goes after them but is eventually attacked. Dong-min eventually joins her search but they are unable to find anyone. In Seoul, Seon-woo’s plan to meet Seon-yeong goes haywire when only Secretary Han arrives to take him back and Don eventually has to rescue him again, giving him a chance to escape. Unfortunately, this results in Don getting attacked.

The next day in Muchang, Yeong-ran again goes after the man taking her cameras down but this time asks Dong-min for help. They are able to catch the man, one of Sung-tae’s workers, who tells her that he was hired to do this work. Meanwhile, in Seoul, Don hires his kidnappers and asks them to find Seon-woo and Ho-se.

As Hye-ji tries to look into Ho-se and everyone finds him suspicious, it turns out that he actually is the man Seon-yeong hired to kill Yeong-ran. Meanwhile, Yeong-ran drops her drunk mother off at the police station, after being fed up with her terrible habits. She later tells Dong-min that she didn’t mean to steal the sanitary pads that everyone keeps talking about, but because of her mother she wasn’t able to get out of the misunderstanding.

The next day, Don gets information on Ho-se’s criminal past and immediately informs Yeong-ran, who calls Ho-se to her house alone. She is, of course, no match for the trained killer and falls unconscious. Thankfully, Hye-ji arrives and knocks him unconscious before he burns her alive. But she is eventually stabbed by him as well.

The thing that leaves me shocked about every bit of Yeong-ran decisions is how she thinks she can take everyone on alone and then fails miserably every time. However, I will say that her frustratingly terrible decisions end up creating extremely tense situations and I am on edge about what the next episode brings. The sneak peek shows her going back to Seoul and Seon-yeong getting stabbed and I can’t wait to see the episodes get better!
