Tower of God Season 2 Episode 7 Recap

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 8 Review Viole Might Meet Khun Soon

The episode begins with Viole confronting his toughest adversary yet: Mazino. For those unfamiliar, Mazino is arguably one of the most powerful figures in the tower, second only to Zahard. It seems like sheer bad luck for Viole to encounter such a formidable opponent at this stage of his journey.

However, Mazino doesn’t approach Viole with hostility. Instead, he displays a playful demeanour, proposing a challenge. He offers Viole a chance to claim the Zygaena flower if he can reach it first. The catch? If Mazino catches him before then, Viole’s life will be his.

This sequence is filled with tension as Mazino demonstrates what it truly means to be one of the strongest in the tower. He remains untouchable throughout the challenge, and the situation could have taken a much darker turn if it weren’t for the unexpected intervention of Miseng. How this young girl manages to influence the outcome in such an intense situation is something you’ll need to watch to fully appreciate.

Following this encounter, Wangnan and the others are faced with a crucial decision: whether to continue their journey alongside Viole or abandon him. Despite being given the option to leave unscathed without Viole, Wangnan and his team refuse, choosing to stand by Viole as they continue to ascend the tower. Wangnan’s decision here marks a significant turning point that will shape the course of his future adventures.

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 8 Review And Recap

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 8 Review Viole Might Meet Khun Soon

Today’s episode starts with the introduction of a chatbot called Emily, who is making waves amongst the residents of the towers. It is a chatbot like any other AI technology in our own world. Almost everyone has become addicted to it and is asking Emily questions that you would ask your companion, your friend, or your partner. People are kind of obsessed with it, and this is very reminiscent of our own situation with AI chatbots.

However, Emily can also ask some personal questions like feelings about love. Now, whether Emily is actually a chatbot or something else is controlling it, we do not know. But one thing is for sure, once you get into it, it is very difficult to leave it. However, Emily is also creating some problems for the players regarding their exams. There are players who are just too addicted to Emily and are asking for solutions to all the important questions and enquiring about the steps to pass the exam from the app.

Something like this happens to Dan when he tries to pick a route, depending on the answer Emily gives. It turns out to be a bad decision, but he saves the day nonetheless.

In this episode, we also see the two teams of Viole and Khun having their own exams to climb the tower. Viole’s team has become more powerful than when they first started. Now they’re much more synchronised and utilise each other’s abilities in a better manner.

Verdict

Tower of God Season 2 Episode 8 Review Viole Might Meet Khun Soon

Wangnan has not improved that much, but the way Viole comes to save him every time, it seems he has become pretty close with Viole. Somewhere else, Khun also won every exam meticulously, and I do not think you will have to wait for long for Viole or Bam to meet Khun and Rachel.

Today’s episode was decent, but the way they are skipping through too many plot points, many might not understand the whole scenario.
