Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 19 Recap

This episode kicks off with Aoi and Inugami attempting to infiltrate Tanpopo’s new operational base. Unfortunately, they were unable to locate the true base and instead fell into a trap that led to the warehouse being destroyed. Though they escaped unharmed, it’s clear that no one has reliable information about Tanpopo’s whereabouts.
Meanwhile, Mutsumi reflects on her father’s cryptic words before his betrayal. The episode reveals that everyone is frantically searching for Tanpopo’s location and trying to uncover Momo’s true intentions. They’re also investigating Tanpopo’s smuggling operations, which involve the trafficking of Hazakura through various trade routes. However, with much of the information being unreliable, every member of the Yozakura family has been dispatched to different locations in hopes of finding a lead.
Taiyo receives intel about Momo’s possible presence on a train that may be involved in smuggling. He was right about the train, but for some reason, he is unable to locate either Momo or Kawashita, despite being on the same train as them. During his search, he encounters a mysterious woman named Shirai, with whom he seems to share some unexpected similarities.
Mission: Yozakura Family Episode 20 Review And Recap

In this episode, soon into the battle, Taiyo realises that he cannot let Tanpopo do as they please because they can become a major threat to his wife. Thus, without wasting any time, he utilises the secret Yozakura techniques and his stun gun to keep up with Shirai. However, amidst the fight, we realised that Shirai was not actually evil but just a victim of her sad fate.
She also drops a huge info in front of Taiyo about her connection with his parents. She also reveals that she was the one because of whom both of them died along with his brother. But the relationship was not a bad one, on the country, the Asano couple loved Shirai like their own daughter. But Tanpopo made her life a living hell and targeted the Asano couple to erase evidence of their experiment. Taiyo was supposed to be dead too but luckily, he survived.

In the end, Shirai’s unlikely actions make us wonder about her true intentions. She seemed apologetic and guilty while fighting with Taiyo, as she was also close to his parents. But her involvement with Taiyo’s parent’s death sends our hero into a mindless rage. He almost loses control of his newfound powers and becomes too swayed by revenge. However, a simple act of bloodletting makes him gain control and focus on his ongoing battle.
Nevertheless, things are not over as we see two new threats approach our hero. They are far more powerful than Shirai and it is obvious that if Futaba and Rin had not come to save Taiyo, he would have been dead. The new enemies also seemed to have some connection with Hazakura and there might be more like them.

Verdict
Today’s episode showed us the real reason why Taiyo’s family is dead and how the Tanpopo organisation is the one responsible for it. Now that they want to target another family member of Taiyo, I do not think he will sit by idly. He will train his level best to defeat the new enemies so that no one can hurt his family ever again. Watch new episodes every Sunday.
