Good Boy Kdrama: Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, and Others Confirmed to Star in JTBC’s Comedy Action Series

On July 31, JTBC officially confirmed the cast for their highly anticipated comedy-action series, Good Boy kdrama (굿보이). The new show boasts a star-studded lineup including Park Bo-gum, Kim So-hyun, Oh Jung-seo, Lee Sang-yi, Hoo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok. This exciting announcement has set the stage for a thrilling series that promises to blend humor, action, and heart. The series is directed by Shim Na-yeon, known for her acclaimed work on The Good Bad Mother, Beyond Evil, and more. The script, written by Lee Da-il, renowned for Bring It On, Ghost, Life on Mars, promises a compelling blend of comedy and drama that will keep viewers hooked.

Good Boy follows the journey of elite athletes who transition from winning medals in international competitions to fighting crime as police officers. Bo-gum takes on the role of Yoo Dong-joo, an Olympic boxing gold medalist, while So-hyun portrays Ji Han-na, an Olympic shooting gold medalist. Both characters, along with their fellow athletes-turned-officers, confront violent crimes and systemic corruption, determined to uphold justice.

Adding to the excitement, Oh Jung-seo is set to play a formidable villain, bringing a new level of intensity to the series. Lee Sang-yi, Hoo Sung-tae, and Tae Won-seok also join the cast, each contributing their unique talent and charisma to this dynamic ensemble.

The plot of Good Boy centres on athletes who join the police force through a special Olympic recruitment program.
