Hotstar Perilloor Premier League Release Date and More Revealed!

South Indian content has been especially flourishing like anything on Disney+ Hotstar, and to build that rich catalogue of shows further, Malayalam series Hotstar Perilloor Premier League will be releasing on the streamer this week. Helmed by director Praveen Chandran, the upcoming series is slated to be a rom-com drama set in the humble environs of a village, centred around twisted and chaotic politics. Fusing elements of a political satire, the Hotstar Specials title has been produced under the banner of E4 Entertainment.

As always, viewers can expect the series to be released in multiple languages from the Indian subcontinent with English subtitles, facilitating an easy and a more accessible viewing experience. Nikhila Vimal’s character is at the centre of it all as she somehow ends up registering a victory in the local elections, thereby gaining the title of the panchayat president. The village of Perilloor is envisioned as a small paradise on earth, and there, while facing some confusions and grappling with a personal failing romantic story, Vimal’s Malavika is tasked by her father to contest in the elections in his place while he too deals with some political uproar and animosity on the local front. When the crossing paths of one’s personal and political lives clash, only then is it further revealed that their heavenly abode is also brimming with dimwits of the most foolish order.

The leading cast involves Nikhila Vimal and Sunny Wayne. Alongside them, Vijayaraghavan, Aju Varghese, Ashokan, Sajin Cherukayil and Sarath Sabha will be playing important supporting roles. The crew brings together Mukesh R Mehta and CV Sarathi as producers, Deepu Pradeep as the writer, Anoop V Shylaja and Ameel working out the cinematography with Mujeeb Majeed composing the music.
