Back in Arthdal, Rottip finds Saya and sees the confusion and distress on his face after having seen the drawings on the walls that also speak of his life. Rottip asks about the Igutus they came across and finds that they had asked for him to meet in the forest on a specific day. Now, Saya has to make the decision whether to meet these people and find a new meaning in his life or create something else for himself.

Following this meeting, Saya arrives at the temple where he accuses Tanya of using him in order to create a stable Arthdal for Eunseom. Even with his feelings so clear, it has always been Eunseom for him through all this time. Tanya accepts the accusations and tells him that she did indeed use many for her goals, however, his feelings and the choices he made for her were never asked for. It was his choice all along.

This breaks Saya as he decides to leave Arthdal and meet the people who have to do with the Ikomahis. The next day, the lost soldiers of Arthdal are on their way back and this is seen by Taealha who is shocked to find out that they lost and that Tagon is missing. She soon rushes back while Eunseom gives the order to march to Arthdal.

Meanwhile, Arthdal is in chaos as ministers try to run away while the people rush around to save their lives. But behind the scenes, Tanya does not stop moving as her people begin to assassinate the ministers while she prepares to bring a new dawn upon Arthdal. While Gilseon faces this chaos, Taealha returns to the palace and takes the reign to protect what she has to.

Elsewhere, Tanya marches out of the temple along with her people and convinces the soldiers who are blocking their way to join them. But she isn’t the only one talking to the people as Taealha arrives in front of the crowd near the palace and announces Tanya to be a traitor siding with the Inaishingi just like Saya.

She wins the trust of the people and soldiers and marches ahead to protect the palace while Tanya sends Moa to light the smoke and bring out all the people under her. While the two forces are prepared to collide in Arthdal, Saya is on his way to meet the mysterious people but before he can reach there Rottip arrives and meets them, of which one is a Neanthal.

The other Neanthal is from a faraway land in the West called Irkebaek which is a civilisation created by one of the legendary brothers. A land quite opposite to Arth where the blue blood reigns over all, and where the warriors are ready to head to Arthdal and take over all. However, these ideas of civilisation are different from what Rottip has learned all his life as Neanthals of the Arth land is those who are as free as nature itself.

However, his ideals are laughed upon by the Neathal who tells him to return with him but Rottip sees the hidden danger in his words and attacks the Neanthal in order to stop their civilisation from coming to Arth with more chaos. However, before he can completely get rid of him, Saya attacks him from behind and the rest is left to the unknown Neanthal to take care of.

Elsewhere, Hae Yeobi arrives at the temple and kills Agaji and Momyungji which is witnessed by Moa who then rushes to inform Tanya but is unable to reach on time. Thus, while Tanya waits for the smoke to rise, she arrives at the palace and is shocked to see Taealha there with the news of Agaji and Momyungji’s death.

Dotti is shocked and breaks down, believing that there is no way out of this she looks at Tanya. However, Tanya is not ready to give up yet as she reminds the people holding weapons against them of the curse she once placed on a soldier who died a brutal death. Taealha then points her sword at Tanya and is ready to accept the curse which influences the soldiers to once again pick up their weapons.

Right then, the believers of Asa Sin light up smoke of their own in many places and begin to gather everyone which surprises Tanya as she witnesses the seeds she had sown bloom at last. The followers soon surround the group in front of the palace while Tanya uses her psychic powers to speak into the minds of the soldiers next to Taealha and makes them drop their weapons.

Tanya finally reaches her goal and asks the people to help build a world where everything is good and safe, however, right when she is about to finish her part, an arrow shoots one of her supporters and announces the return of Tagon. His return brings shock and surprise to everyone present while Taealha releases a sigh of relief.

Elsewhere, Eunseom leads the Ago tribe to Arthdal when a messenger from the city arrives with orders from Taealha to move back 600 steps. The Ago people begin laughing at him until Eunseom notices something on the city walls. Suddenly, a man is stabbed and thrown from the wall and the messenger announces the name of the Wahan tribesman, following which another Wahan tribesman is thrown.

However, the tragedy does not stop here as Tanya is brought to the edge of the wall as the next person to be thrown. Eunseom is shaken as he hears her voice telling him how proud she is to see him in his full glory. While things did not go as they expected, she has the path of a god to follow and he should not be shaken by what is to come. Instead, he has to walk on the path of the Inaishingi and move on.

Eunseom cannot move forward and accepts moving back while Taealha is pleased by this result. Back in the palace, the plans for their next move begin and Tagon pushes the task of negotiating with Eunseom to Taealha. However, while she trusts his sanity to have come back, Tagon has plans of his own as he threatens the Bichwisan maker to make him the poison.

He then heads to meet Tanya who asks him about the cry of the child that she hears from him. This angers Tagon as he changes his thoughts and tells her to hear them. But what she hears then leaves her shocked and scared of the man in front of her.

Arthdal Chronicles Season 2 Episode 11 Review

The end is so near and we can actually feel it because Tagon has something very sinister up his sleeves. With the looks on Tanya and Yeonbal’s faces, it almost seems like Tagon has reached the point of wanting to self-destruct and take everything down with him. This may be a scary thought but it is also one that has me excited for the finale because Tagon has got to be one of the craziest villains in the K-drama world.

Meanwhile, the queens have definitely been the highlight of this episode but so has Saya whose new choices have me intrigued. While this does not justify Rottip’s death, the civilization of Neanthals has me wanting to know more. Maybe a story in this civilization of overpowered humans could bring us another season of Arthdal Chronicles because there is no way this story is ending here.

Altogether, this has been another wonderful episode which has made sure to write it in stone that the Arthdal Chronicles season 2 finale is not something you want to miss! Also, another episode that left me gasping with the twists and turns it brought.
