Moving Episode 13 Recap
The entire episode focusses on Ju-won post-Doo-sik leaving the agency and disappearing. Now that Mr. Min gets demoted after he fails to respond about Doo-sik’s actions, the agency collapses and the Black ops team dissolves. This forces Ju-won to work in general affairs as an employee. He is now married to Ji-hee and lives in the civil servant apartment.
Ju-won struggles at the office as he doesn’t know how to operate the computers much. Yet to keep Ji-hee living at the house and provide for her, he works there. One day, during their monthly barbecue dinner at home, Ju-won cries to Ji-hee stating that he feels worthless. Ji-hee assures that to her he means a lot and vice versa. The next day, Ju-won decides to resign from work but after he learns that they won’t be able to live in the apartment, he continues with his work.

One night, Mr. Min arrives at his office and confronts him about working for the country once again. Ju-won gives it a thought and decides to join the Black ops team again. Ji-hee also sticks beside him and motivates him. The North Korean government infiltrates 12 people inside South Korea. The South Korean military is deployed to wipe them off and Mr. Min assigns Ju-won to assist them.
The army commander manages Ju-won and wins his trust. During the operation, another Black op agent Rae-hyuk joins. He is the same guy who snitched Doo-sik’s home as well as who followed Mi-hyun and Bong-seok after they escaped. So it’s evident now that Rae-hyuk is working under Mr. Min.

The next day, Rae-hyuk, using his snitching powers like a reptile, starts hunting the place where the North Korean agents are. When he finds it, he makes the soldiers proceed but keeps back Ju-won to tell him a secret. Rae-hyuk states that there is a North Korean agent with superpowers like them who will cause big chaos. When Ju-won tries to help the soldiers, Rae-hyuk keeps holding him and tells him that it won’t be dramatic if Ju-won doesn’t go and save them when they’re in trouble.
Ju-won gets furious and rushes to save the soldiers since he is a kind man. When he goes there, he spots the bad guys and instantly wipes them off. The commander asks his soldiers to protect Ju-won. However, one North Korean agent sniper shoots the commander, and it startles Ju-won. Out of rage, Ju-won proceeds to kill the rest.
Suddenly, the mountain’s rocks start falling down, killing the soldiers. Then Ju-won spots a guy pushing them down and learns that he has immense strength. Ju-won reaches the top and fights the North Korean superhuman. However, he pushes Ju-won down and escapes. Ju-won leaves home disheartened.

Then Mr. Min arranges the Black op team with three new members Bongpyeong (the one with electric power), Naju (who has the ability to see through and shoot), and Jincheon (power of extreme strength). During their introduction, Jincheon crushes Ju-won’s hand to threaten him but the latter resurrects and warns him before leaving. Note that, these three superhumans are the ones who were killed by Frank in the first few episodes.
The next day, when Ju-won prepares to leave for work, Ji-hee breaks down and tells about why she plans barbecue nights. She opens up about her desire for a daughter and talks about her past. Ju-won comforts her and takes her to the bedroom. Time skip, the couple now have a daughter named Hee-soo and are living a happy life.

Ju-won is still working for the South Korean government along with the three members. One day, as usual, he leaves for a project bidding farewell to his adolescent daughter and wife. Sadly after some time, Ju-won gets a call regarding his family’s accident and rushes to the hospital. Over there, he witnesses his daughter self-healing and realises that she has inherited his superpower.
Ju-won breaks down inside the lift and wails throughout the building. He goes to the top floor to mourn his wife’s death at the memorial. He loudly cries and struggles to hold back. Since he is the only family for Ji-hee, he looks at her memorial photo and promises her that he will take care of their daughter, before breaking down.
Moving Episode 13 Review
Once again Ryu Seung-ryong stole the show. Personally, I feel Ryu Seung-ryong is the star of the series because be it the way he fights in those powerful action scenes or the innocent romance he has with Ji-hee, his versatile acting outshines the other cast. His character Ju-won is tough and rough on the outside but when he meets Ji-hee, he becomes a soft person who cries to her like a child. Ryu Seung-ryong portrayed both sides of Ju-won accurately. Watching him weep like a small child won’t fail to make one cry. At the same time, seeing him break the bad guys’ legs is a feast for action lovers.

Now that we know how Ji-hee died and how Ju-won found out about his daughter’s powers, this might be the reason why he stops working for Mr. Min so that he can protect his daughter and fulfill his promise to his late wife. Moreover, he is unaware of where Doo-sik and Mi-hyun are so things might be too hard for him. If only he had his true people near him, he’d have had some comfort.
