The episode begins with Roman Roy, the usually cool and composed sibling, struggling to write a funeral speech for his late father, Logan. He is still reeling from the events of the previous episode, where he had a heated confrontation with Logan. Meanwhile, Kendall Roy is torn between his guilt over his father’s death and his desire to undermine his own children in the pursuit of power within the family business.

The episode features a full-fledged funeral scene where various family members and close associates gather to pay their respects to Logan. Logan’s brother takes the stage first and delivers a scathing anti-Waystar speech, shaking Roman’s confidence and leaving him emotionally shattered. The weight of his grief becomes too much for Roman, and he experiences a total breakdown in front of the gathered mourners.

Amidst the chaos, Kendall steps in and takes over the funeral speech. He delivers a powerful and improvised speech, leaving no room for failure. Despite his own inner turmoil, Kendall suppresses his emotions and defends the crony capitalism that his late father represented. His speech captures the attention of the audience and solidifies his position as a force to be reckoned with within the family.

However, Kendall decides to go all out against Shiv, revealing his knowledge of her plan and expressing his intention to oppose her. Despite the grief and internal struggles he is facing, Kendall remains determined to protect his own interests and undermine his siblings in the pursuit of power.

In the closing moments of the episode, Kendall takes the time to console a broken Roman. The two brothers, who have often found themselves at odds with each other, share a moment of vulnerability and solidarity. Roman, still reeling from his emotional breakdown, doesn’t find solace in Kendall’s support.
