The teaser for The Marvels opens up with Nick Fury instructing Monica Rambeau in outer space, where she comes in contact with a beam of light and switches into Kamala Khan aka Ms Marvel. This sets up the funky tone of the teaser which introduces us to all three powerful protagonists of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The official clip is filled with such switching moments and further revolves around the quest of the trio, to deduce the real reason behind this inter-exchange of powers. Moreover, one can also spot an array of familiar characters, including the notorious feline Goose.

The teaser then moves onto an ultimate power showdown, where each protagonist exhibits her strength and capabilities. Furthermore, one minute and fifty-six seconds trailer also makes for some humour-filled moments, involving Carol Danvers and Kamala Khan’s family members.

The three heroes then come together in a dramatic shot towards the end of the teaser and provide a stunning teaming-up shot. The characters include Kamala Khan, played by newcomer Iman Vellani, who is a Pakistani-American teenager who gains shape-shifting abilities and becomes Ms Marvel.

Carol Danvers, played by Brie Larson, is a former US Air Force pilot who gains superhuman strength and becomes Captain Marvel. Finally, Monica Rambeau, played by Teyonah Parris, is the daughter of Maria Rambeau, Carol Danvers’ best friend and fellow Air Force pilot.
