Blue Lock Episode 23 is the twenty-third episode of one of the most popular anime of this year. Blue Lock is a sports anime directed by Tetsuaki Watanabe and Hisashi Toujima and is based on an original manga written by Muneyuki Kaneshiro and illustrated by Yuusuke Nomura. The series is being animated by Studio 8bit.
The show follows Yoichi Isagi, a talented but unrefined striker who gets the opportunity of a lifetime after being invited to compete for and inside the Blue Lock, where Japan’s most talented football strikers have all been gathered to compete against each other. Yoichi might not be the strongest, fastest, sturdiest, or most technically gifted out of all the candidates gathered, but he still has a skill that helps him keep up with the others.
The first selection process saw the strikers compete against each other in teams of 11, just as a standard football match would be. After learning about each other’s strengths and abilities, Yoichi and his teammates, including Bachira, Chigiri, and Kunigami, cleared the first selection successfully. However, a lot of football is still left to play, and many players are still left to defeat!

It is going to be the final moments of the match over the first few minutes, and then it is all going to be over. As always, there are only two scenarios possible. Either Yoichi wins and picks someone from the opposite team to go with him to the next round (probably Bachira), or he loses and gets picked by Rin’s team as the best player in his team. Either way, things are going to be very interesting in the next episode, as this arc and match seem to be all but over.

It will be interesting to see how the show overcomes the conundrum of picking Bachira over Rin in the next episode, as Rin would be the natural first choice of everyone who was thinking rationally about how to make the team better. Since Yoichi was also the one wanting to bring Chigiri in, his teammates will feel like non-factors if he brings in Bachira without their agreement, and while Rin has been playing so much better.

Yoichi’s team win by pulling another random trick out from somewhere no one saw coming, but picking Bachira against Itoshi Rin is put under question when it comes to team building. They ultimately will still end up going with Bachira, however.
Blue Lock Episode 22 Recap
The match continues as Yoichi’s team are in a one-goal deficit leading to the other team’s match point. Yoichi figures out another trick to stop Rin, which is to out-predict his predictions with something wild on his own. He succeeds with this technique to bring the game level once again, and the situation becomes sudden death once again. Bachira fumbles the ball from his team when given the opportunity and decides to forego his monster to rely just on himself again, and dribbles past every member of Yoichi’s team.
