Ariyoshi Assists (名アシスト有吉) is a new season of the Japanese unscripted comedy series that will be premiering on Netflix. The premise of the show is ten guest hosts from different sections of the entertainment world, including actors, singers and professional athletes, will appear, and each will host their own episode.
Earlier this year, Nippon TV (Japanese broadcaster) striked a deal with the online platform to produce the ten-part improv show. It is the first time that the network has signed a deal with a global streaming platform. Kazuaki Hashimoto and Toshiyuki Yokozawa are the creators of the show, who also produced the variety shows Ariyoshi no Kabe and Ariyoshi Zemi.

The Japanese-language show is hosted by comedian and singer Hiroiki Ariyoshi, who will assist ten guest hosts in the ten episodes. Some of the renowned guest hosts who will be appearing are Shirahama Alan, Kazuhara Ryuto, Katayose Ryota, Komori Hayato, Sano Reo, Sekiguchi Mandy, Nakatsuka Yuta, IKKO, Mimura Masakazu, Ootake Kazuki, Nasukawa Tenshin, Uchida Maaya, Ahn Mika, Horiuchi Ken, Fuwa-chan, Ryoff Karma, Sashihara Rino, Otani Emiri, Otani Emiri, Morohashi Sana, Noguchi Iori and more.
Ariyoshi Assists Plot
As previously mentioned, the ten-part comedy series will feature a new guest host in each new episode. Celebrities from different professional fields will appear. The other participants will be engaging in various games and contests, erupting in an entertaining and laughter-filled episode. Hiroiki Ariyoshi will be assisting the guests appearing in the Japanese show.
Each episode consists of a different concept and ideas. A new format will be introduced every following day, which will showcase an immersive and engaging composition of competitions. Additionally, it will contain tournaments resembling the Olympic Games, but more in a mocking manner.
Netflix has constantly been trying to avail inclusive content for their users, and introducing Asian shows is their recent endeavour. The trailer of the series looks fun and promising, and it will be interesting to see if the show will live up to expectations.
