TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s Sugar Rush Ride premiered on January 27, 2023, along with their fifth mini album titled The Name Chapter: Temptation. Merely catching a glimpse of the video’s preview will induce a sensation of fear of missing out (FOMO) among audiences who still haven’t started following the K-pop group’s mystical musical journey.
Luckily for MOAs (collective terms used for the fans of the group), each comeback of the group signed under HYBE Labels is one massive hit followed by another. Even the loyal fans of the band haven’t figured out the spell casted by the group yet because somewhere with each release, they set the bar even higher. The five members of the South Korean group – Soobin (leader), Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Taehyun and Hueningkai – have followed a fantastical ride since the beginning when it comes to their music video visuals and its underlying storyline.

Not only does this kick into motion a series of theories among MOAs, it also open the room for the best possible sublime shots in their videos to become a unique aesthetic of their own category. The same trend has been followed for Sugar Rush Ride as well, rather the team has taken the artistic sights a notch higher this time.
The titular track’s video was shot across various locations in Bali, i.e. a province in Indonesia that is well known for its nature beauty and bountiful landscaped, further granting its name as the ‘Land of the Gods’. The lush paradisiacal beauty of these settings have imbued the group’s musical concept with extra light and colour that can’t ever be matched with the employment of visual effects or computerised graphics. The natural spectacle has come out at the top with fellow Indonesians feeling prouder than ever to see their heritage be reflected in their favourite artists’ work.

Moreover, the vocals, the song’s chorus have pushed the fans into a “levitating” state, ridding them of all their stress and tensions and putting their sole focus into the musical experience unlike another. Except the lead single, there are four more tracks on the album, namely, Devil by the Window, Happy Fools (feat. Coi Leray), Tinnitus (Wanna be a rock), and Farewell,Neverland.
