Kings of Joburg Season 2 Trailer: There’s a New King and New Enemies in This Action-Packed Fantasy Series

Kings of Joburg Season 2 Trailer has been finally released by Netflix after showing some glimpses of the upcoming season in the last teaser. It is created and written by Shona Ferguson and produced by Samad Davis, Wesleigh Kapotis and Lauren Nell. The series is a South African crime fantasy drama where the Masire brothers rule Johannesburg’s criminal underworld, but a supernatural family curse and a tangled web of betrayal threaten to destroy them.

The cast of the series includes Sello Sebotsane as Stan Mazibuko, Tk Sebothoma as Tlotlo Masire, Connie Ferguson as Masire Mermaid, Zolisa Xaluva as Mogomotsi ‘Mo’ Masire, Buhle Samuels as Angela Masire, Nnekwa Tsajwa as Sting, Cindy Mahlangu as Phumzi, Tsholofelo Matshaba as Jazmine Gumede, Edmund Ngema as Ayanda, Llewellyn Cordier as Leon, Busiswe Twala as Mimi, and Abdul Khoza as Lester.

The official synopsis for the second season reads, “With Simon missing, Mo must take over the Masire family’s business and also the curse. But no one is what they seem, especially his lover Phumzi.” With the sudden and untimely disappearance of the King of Jo’burg Simon Masire, the family tries to adapt to a new king and new enemies in the City Of Gold. Heavy is the Crown but it’s time to take back the city.

In the released trailer, we hear someone saying that ‘The era of the Masires running this city has come to an end.’ And the enemies are already looking forward to taking over the city as one even threatens them to think of the consequences when their families were to go to war.

But in Simon’s absence, Mo has to finally step up and take over the family and the curse, to show everyone that he is not weak. While the forces want to bring in as much disruption and chaos as to make them surrender. But as Mo says in the end, The Masires still run the city and he will make sure to remind everybody!
