Still From Reincarnated as a Sword

Today’s episode picked up from where the anime left off in the previous episode, where we saw Fran in grave danger. She recently got saved from the trickster spider, and suddenly a huge bird came her way with light shining behind it.

On the other hand, the adventurers like Cruise and Krad, who went to a separate part of the dungeon to search for Fran and others, come across some deadly spiders. The situation becomes so bad that many of them even get captured, and they are sure they will die there.

But at that very moment, Fran enters with Urushi, her familiar and swiftly starts to attack the spiders. Not just normal ones, but even the trickster spider who fled the scene in the previous episode is here as well. She is quite strong, and Fran has some problems handling her, but to protect Fran from every danger, Amanda comes forward and demolishes the spider with its crystal.

Fran becomes miffed that she did not get the opportunity to kill the spider and take her crystal. But thankfully, upon returning, she receives a new mission where she will have to travel to Ulmutt to raid a new dungeon.

Even though Fran could not defeat the trickster spider, she still accomplished many things in this quest, the most important thing was being able to use thunder magic. After this successful mission, she also got a new rank, becoming a Sword Magus and even scoring herself an all-new black attire. It is a special garment, custom-made for her by Garrus, which acts like armour protecting Fran from powerful attacks.

In this episode, we also saw two really unexpected revelations. We can finally understand why Amanda was so attached to Fran from the very beginning. This part is special, hence, I will not spoil it and instead urge you to go and watch it for yourself.

Verdict

This episode was also satisfactory and delivered a great watch till the end. The part where Fran finally addresses Amanda as Mama is definitely the highlight of the episode. We could see the happiness in Amanda’s eyes and recognise how much she actually loves Fran like her own. I will thoroughly miss our cute Fran and her Teacher and earnestly hope the second season releases soon. You can watch the series on HIDIVE.
