Treason Trailer Breakdown: Charlie Cox as MI6 Agent Questions His Entire Life

Treason is an upcoming Netflix original limited series starring Charlie Cox, who is widely known for reprising the role of Daredevil. The show is directed by Louise Hooper (3 episodes) and Sarah O’Gorman (3 episodes), with three episodes each. Matt Charman is credited as the screenwriter.

Apart from Charlie Cox, the cast of the show includes Ciarán Hinds, Beau Gadsdon, Samuel Leakey, Adam James, Tracy Ifeachor, Avital Lvova, Brian Law, Alexandra Guelff, Kevin Harvey, Joe Macaulay, Annabel Elizabeth Wood, Olga Kurylenko, Oona Chaplin, Jonathan Nyati, Rishi Nair and Alex Magliaro.

Foz Allan, Michael Robins, Bryony Arnold, Matt Charman, and Valery Ryan are the producers of the mini-series. The cinematography is done by Balazs Bolygo Jean-Philippe, and Gossart and the music is given by Jamie Salisbury. The series will contain 6 episodes which will release the same day.

Treason Trailer Breakdown

The 2 minutes and 23 seconds trailer of the show gives us a lot of insight into what the show will be about. It opens with the Chief of MI6 getting attacked by an unknown assassin in an attempt to murder the official. Adam Lawrence is seen taking the lead in capturing the perpetrator.

But later in the trailer, Adam is compromised by his own organisation. He is suspected of being the person behind the sudden attack. He is now considered a double agent and one of the most wanted men in the country. Adam is seen to be confused and distressed by the sudden turn of events.

Later he meets up with a woman, who is his old friend named Kara, and they talk about the past and present. She warns him that the circumstances will get further complicated. Adam’s family is also seen in danger, agents are following his daughter in order to catch him. His wife also grows suspicious of him and makes rash decisions to find out the truth about him.

Adam is seen trying to convince everyone around him that he is not a double agent. He is seen going to great lengths to fix the situation that he gets involved in. Situations grow messier, people get hurt, and relationships start to break. Survival and the safety of himself and his family become his top priority.

The Netflix description of the story reads: An MI6 deputy’s bright future takes a sharp turn after a reunion with a Russian spy forces him to question his entire life.

Treason is set to release on December 26, 2022, on Netflix.
