Are you a fan of That ’70s Show? Because it is time for you to rejoice as the official That ’90s Show teaser has just dropped and, it will sure as hell make you go crazy with a boost of nostalgia and a roar of laughter. Netflix has dropped on us a lovely surprise and, we bet no one can keep calm about what is to come their way!
A spin-off continuation of the iconic teen sitcom from the late 90s, That ’90s Show looks like another promising period teen sitcom that is set during 1995 and features the characters and locales which we witnessed in That ’70s Show, with, of course adding a few new names to the cast. We have Callie Haverda as Leia Forman, Ashley Aufderheide as Gwen, Mace Coronel as Jay, Maxwell Acee Donovan as Nate, Reyn Doi as Ozzie, Sam Morelos as Nikki along with Debra Jo Rupp as Kitty Forman and Kurtwood Smith as Red Forman- Leia’s grandparents.
The teaser for That ’90s Show reads: “Welcome back to your favourite basement. Same Formans, new friends. It’s 1995 and Leia Forman, daughter of Eric and Donna, is visiting her grandparents for the summer, where she bonds with a new generation of Point Place kids under the watchful eye of Kitty and the stern glare of Red.” The teaser opens with the iconic thematic music related to the franchise and shows us Debra Jo Rupp and Kurtwood Smith being their exact goofy selves as we remember them to be.

A new addition to the family we realise is Leia, the daughter of Topher Grace’s Eric and Laura Prepon’s Donna- the child of one of the fans’ favourite characters from the original show. It is the summer break and the same basement where we find Leia with her friends reliving all the fun and dramatic times as our original Point Place kids did. With a strict granddad and a loving grandmom, will this summer break be fun for Leia? Well, we will have to wait to find out!
