Casey Anthony Where The Truth Lies Plot/Synopsis
The documentary mostly circles around the events of July 2008, during which the remains of two-year-old Caylee were found in the wooded area surrounding the home of the Anthonys. However, this time, instead of the thousand overheard stories and theories, the series will concentrate on Casey’s side of the story, in some never before seen interviews and clips.
For the unversed, the trial of Casey Anthony became a common topic of discussion in almost every household in America, after its controversial outcome. Even though the jury stated that Casey lied to the police, they remained firm in their decision to pronounce her not guilty of the crime.
It was revealed, that the jury did not have enough evidence to support the claims of the prosecutors, and had to rely on the core definition of reasonable doubt. Moreover, the eventual verdict led to some polarising reactions from the common public, who were left unconvinced with Casey’s version of the story. Notably, Casey’s own parents had testified their side of the case, during the court proceedings.

Ultimately, Casey was sent to prison for her wrongful version of the story to the cops and later released in a short period of time. However, if she was pronounced guilty of the crime during the trial, then the maximum sentence for the case would have been the death penalty. The case drew a lot of flak from a certain section of society, that never believed in the outcome, and did not find Casey innocent.
Now, after more than ten years, the docu-series will unravel some unheard versions of the central figure of the case, and present a sole side of Casey Anthony. The officially released footage from the trailer further highlights her relationship with her daughter and her public treatment over the decade.
