My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 Overview

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 Title

If you haven’t at least heard of My Hero Academia, I hope that the rock that you’re living under provides plenty of space and sunlight for healthy living. My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 Review- A Meeting Of The Quirks

Bakugo My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10

If last week was an action high for the series, this week was an emotional one. We saw Bakugo sacrifice himself for the sake of Deku in the previous episode, setting the tone for this outing to take us to an emotional climax and putting us closer to the end of this phenomenal arc. All For One took control of Shigaraki’s body and set out to do the one thing he wanted from the plan to pass his power to Tomura- take control of the one thing he never had control over, his younger brother and his quirk, One For All.

Just one small problem with that plan, though- none of the other entities involved would want any part of this. Deku obviously doesn’t want his powers taken, and the essence of all the other users inside One For All would never want their lives and legacies to be wasted by the one thing they wanted to avoid. My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 did a great job of balancing the feelings of everyone involved in this, as Izuku’s helplessness, All For One’s mirth, Tomura’s anger, and the other users’ determination were put on display and done justice.

There is an obvious path out of this arc now, which you couldn’t say just an episode earlier. That’s both a good and a bad thing. Good because this arc was fantastic, and I would love to see something more come of this kind of storytelling, and bad because that means that the best arc the show has had in ages now has to make way for something else that might not be as good. However, if there’s one thing the show has earned in the past couple of months, it is trust that the writers know what they are doing and will take this to a logical and entertaining conclusion.

That was just Deku and Tomura’s end of My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10, however, as there was a whole other half of the story dedicated to what is probably going to be Tomura Shigaraki’s means of escape- Gigantomachia. The killer giant has laid a path of destruction throughout Japan, and with no way to stop him, the heroes are left with nothing to do but rescue the civilians from his devastation. That brings us to the B plot of this episode, involving the ever-popular Himiko Toga coming face to face with her obsessions. She goes right to the first target she sees, Ochaco.

Ochaco is a weird character for My Hero Academia, as she is one of those that had their moment in the sun and had been purposefully left behind in the dust by the story moving into a much darker direction. She is a great character, mind you, but for a time, it felt like she was reduced to a friend of Deku in the show and not much else. It is great having her do something of great importance in My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 and presumably the next one as well. Still rooting for you, Uravity!

Verdict

My Hero Academia Season 6 Episode 10 was a breathtaking display of bundled-up emotions that were finally let go, even if just an inch. This was the kind of episode that you don’t want to see the end of.
